Trouble with weight around chest and stomach

I've been training off and on for years with the last several months getting back into it very head strong. However although my legs, arms, and shoulders are showing more definiton my chest, back, and stomach area are lacking in dropping weight. My diet consist of lean meats, veggies, nutts, salads, with pleny of water. I know I have a lot of weight to drop and will take time, However its getting frusturating to seeing my total weight not dropping at all!!

if ur going just by scale weight there are many things that can throw it off. muscle growth if ur on cycle. water retention from creatine. i recently just started working out in the last 2 months heavy again after a couple of years of injuries. my weight isnt dropping very much right now but ive noticed a fair bit of definition improvements. strength is going up. so im kinda in the same boat. id say if ur diet is spot on and ur liftin good just keep it up and results will come.

Be 31 in June. I use to lift years ago only taking creatine, whey, BCCA's and Xendarine RFA the real one lol. I got my weight down to 177 benching 350. Got married and yeah pretty much only went to gym here and there. I knew better, but kept making excueses. Almost 2 years ago at 5'5 1/3 I got up to 291 and was feeling rough. I knew things had to change so I made a change in the way I ate and started back in the gym. I use my kids as motivation and not strength or looks. I want to take what I got and lean out. I'm natural stalky and calves are huge and cutt. My problem is I gain muscle mass to quick, but it's hard for me to drop the weight. I have managed to get down to 244 and want to be around 175-190. Working 10 hr shifts, and two kids in baseball keeps me right now from doing lot of cardio as i do good just to lift 4 days week. In June they'll be out of ball so I plan to hit the track as much as possible.

you are lifting heavy, but are you keeping the weights the same or are you always adding more weight. i see lots of guys at the gym over the course of a year or more always doing the same reps and weights because they never get out of their comfort zone and really push. i really like doing a 5x5 cuz the point of it is to add more weight every single week till you plateau. then you take an easy week and start over again. not sure of your lifting experience but maybe a few tweaks like that. the most weight i ever lost i did the insanity dvd set. do that and take like the PES alpha t2/erase/shift stack (they're not steroids incase ur against that) you would lose some serious weight

Thanks bro. Nah not against roids at all. At 31 I am looking into some for when I drop some more weight. I use to train years ago at 22 benching 350 at 185lbs Bench was always 8-6-4-2 done twice. I will check out the 5x5 deal as it sounds good for me to try. Do you do those on every lift or pull? For ex do you do that on tricep rope pressdowns?

well most 5x5s have set moves. ill post a link here. lots of compound things. and really good for getting back into it. good for strength and i do it in a circuit style so it works decent for fatloss too
Bill Starr 5x5 - Starting Strength Wiki
explains a couple different ones in there, i do the bill star exactly as written, then once im done i will do some isolated exercises to finish myself off. bis and tris one day, curls dips pulldowns. then on my off day ill do some cardio cuz im in fat burning mode. then my next workout when i finish the exact workout for bill star B workout, ill do some weighted abs, a couple isolated shoulder movements, etc. also every time i do a squat i do 30 calve raises. 10 with feet parallel, 10 feet pointing outward, 10 inward. figure while i already have 200 pounds on my back might as well get some calves in to. the inward and outward ones really get hard after a couple sets

other than that i eat clean. i do muay thai for cardio also. i hate running and shit but if u can find something fn, basketball, soccer etc. u can go way longer, way harder and actually enjoy it

hope that helps bro

Do you know what your cals and macro breakdown is right now? Roughly.
Are you able to keep consistent with your diet?

I shoot for a lean piece of meat every mean, with grains consisting of whole grains, lentils, beans, sweet patado, bake potado, and salad greens. Veggies always with each lunch and supper. My bigeest problem is not eating but 3 meals day and being scared if I eat more it will make me blow up again. With 10 hr work shifts and two boys in baseball, it's really tough for me to count cal's each day although I would love too.
