Tried HIIT

Yea, so I tried HIIT today... I tried to sprint 30sec then jog 30sec for 4 times, (8 total increments)... All i felt at the end was that I was about to ralph (throw up)... I had to lay down beside my truck for like 15 minutes before I could get the courage up to hop in the truck and drive a standard 5 minutes home. Sucked ....... any suggestions?
 
Well apart from the obvious, work your time up gradually, try longer rest periods i.e. 30 sec sprinting, 60 sec light jog and so on. I have also found caffiene really gives you a boost if taken pre-workout. Would'nt suggest that if suffer with heart problems though. Build up your endurance and watch the fat fall off. Its very effective.
 
To chime in to what has already been said:

1 - start with a 5 min high paced walk to get going.
2 - start with a 30/60 (30 sprint/60 fast walk)
3 -4/5 cycles
4 - repeat one.

As it gets easier you can change it up 45/90, 30/30 and 30/60 alternate them week to week and listen to your body.

20-30 min tops

Also, you can switch the inclines - sprint uphill, fast walk/med paced jog and less of an incline.

So your variables are time, speed and incline.
 
I'm not sure how much caffeine is in green tea, but if I take one of those before our SWAT training exercises, I am good to go the entire 4 hours without problems.
