Torn Pec

I tore my pec once when I was 18 and really powerlifting well.. then over the years (I am now 36) I started to lift more moderately (for a powerlifter that is!)..

Anyway, I had three shoulder surgeries over the last two years (NO LIFTING) and then I have been lifting again for 10 weeks. Well guess what happened?

I was doing a nice tricep move that I use now in place of weighted dips because of my shoulder problems, it was a decline, reverse grip bench (griping as close as possible without killing my wrists)...anyway I had just done 315 for 5 and it felt too easy (my flat bench press has been 405 before and after my first pec tear), so I decided I should go up one more notch. So I put on 335 and was feeling good. I was on my third rep on the way down (not fast or balistic) and TAWANG!! FLUTTER FLUTTER PAIN PAIN, it felt like there was something alive in my left pec, eating me!. I dropped the weight had my spotters take it. So NOw.....................

I want to know if anyone has ever come back from two pec tears (albeit 18 years apart) at 36 and ever increased thier lift. I really feel like I got a 500 pound flat bench in me, I really do (and with no drugs, at least not since 12 years ago).

Any comments would greatly be appreciated:bawling:

I have had 3 pec tears by now... 2 in the left and one in the right.. :/
The first time I almost completely tore the pec and also totally crushed all the cartilage in the left shoulder.. :/ So now I still have constant pain in the shoulder due to this. Also cannot do shoulder presses or any exercise where I must have the arm far back.. :/ Have lost lots of mobility in the left arm.. :/
All this due to lack of warmup the first time - I think.. :/:/:/ Tore the pec that time at only 485 pound... Not max... Second time when repping out on _only_ 308 pound.. :/ Ant third time in the incline when repping out on 265 pound.. :/
Still I can do bench.. ;) had 420 on the incline bench last evening so.. :) But I constantly live with the pain and also I have to be careful when benching.. Feels like I cannot go heavy on the flat bench.. Feels like the pec will tear then.. Still I will try one more time doing a last contest in -110 kg...
Going for ~600 pounds (with bench shirt) next year...
