Torn Patella Tendon

I tore my patella tendon in my knee and I'm fu__ing pissed. The MRI showed a substaintial tear and the doc has strated me on PT first to see if that will do it or it's surgery. Shit!!:mad: I was going to start another cycle this week and I'm not sure if I should or not I don't want to be top heavy (Upper body gains and lower body atrophy due to the injury). My question is: will a mild cycle like winstrol or anavar help strenghten the muscles around my knee because that's all the PT is suggesting anyway. Aslong as I don't over do it will it help my rehab. Also if my joints dry up a bit will that affect my pattela rehab?? Any suggestions?? Thanks
 
Don't do it. There's a major difference between natural strength gain and anabolic induced gain.

The best thing you can do is to go thru the surgery, give your tendon atleast 2 months of natural healing, and then maybe start a lite dose of Anavar or Winstrol. If anything...hit the protein hard and one with a little Glutamine will help promote healing.

It's all about tension and torque with your patella. When you create an excessive muscle strength in one of your leg muscles, you can actually place more strain on a different muscle group. This abnormal torque can actually harm your repaired tendon.

The tendon covers a hinge joint. You actual patella is the focal point of the hinge in a way. If your bicep femoris grows quicker in functional strength than the rest of your legs muscles, your repaired tendon will NOT be able to handle the tension placed on it as your leg goes into a flexion movement.

I could write a book on this....but the main idea is to let it heal naturally for atleast 60 days. The "strengthening" exercises that your PT will have you do are not the same type as lifting. It's to help you maintain your flexion and rotation ranges of motion since you will be going thru a period of inmobility.
