i used to work out with my roommate when i lived in hawaii.
he was only 5'6" and 176-182 at any given time, yet was strong as an ox. his average b.p. w/o went like this 225x8, 315x6, 365x4, 415x2 or 3. needless to say this brought stares from everyone in the gym (and no he wasn't a screamer either). then he started juicing and he might have tipped the scales off at 187.. maybe 190. we go in the gym for a chest workout and there were all these 300lbs somoans standing around like they were the shit. so we start the workout. his w/o: 225x10, 315x8, 365x6, 415x5, 465x2 (i only helped him on the last rep). every one of those mokes jaws dropped as they looked at their bar "loaded" w/ 315lbs, barely more than their bodyweight, that they could only lift 5-6 times. then after the 465 he did 225 for 20 reps, which set all the hawaiians into a tizzy as they could only do it about 10-20 times when they were fresh.
moral of the story is this: nobody fucking cares how much you bench.
