Thyroid got fucked up....

Fellas....

a few peices of bad news from doc today....

got all bloodwork back and went over it w/ my doc. gonna start another cycle next week and wanted to see if everything was in line. I also asked him about some bad migranes lately and wanted to get checked out (more on that in a bit)
anyway, my Thyriod numbers came back all out of whack. I don't remember the names and numbers, but I had a 6.4 level and normal was 4.0
I guess my thyroid was over producing because my body was attacking the normal production. Doc said thats why I have been feeling tired and worn out. (he also said it could lead to muscle loss) which i think it has a bit.
I did run a a bit of Clen and Cynomel about 15 weeks ago but I followed it to a T. only did a 4 week run of it and slowly ramped the clen up and down evenly. The cynomel i SLOWLY ramped up to only 3 pills a day and then evenly ramped down. I guess the doc said i was genetically pre-diposed to this disorder though and this triggered the condition. (i told him about the clen/cyno and he was actually cool about...said i ran in correctly and it's something you are born pre-disposed to...the cynomel just set it off).
gotta stay on thyroid meds forever now, damn.

back to the headache thing.... he sent me for a MRI of the head as a precaution. Tests came back showing a 6mm depression in my front left core (brain). he said he cant say for sure what it is or what the problem is. it could be from boxing (i boxed for 8 years) or from a car accident I had 2 years ago (i did hit the window and was ejected from car) so it could be head trauma. or it could be a tumor..... they dont know.

anyway, just wanted to vent about my shitty day at the doctor! i am not as excited to start a new cycle Monday now. then again, maybe it will make me feel better and get my strength back up.
late fellas

I'm sure everthing will work out bro. U r in my prayers!

You have HIGHER levels of thyroid than normal right?
Why you say youll need thyroid meds for life?
You dont mention when you took your last cytomel, sometimes a bit remains in your body for weeks.

As for headache its hard even for experienced doctors to diagnose, so just treat the symptoms, with some advil or other otc meds. A couple months of this meds will not harm your health.

I'm a little bit confused here...I'm not an expert about T3, just know the basics and of course would like to learn more for the future. Correct me if I'm wrong but a fucked up thyroid from T3 should be producing less T3 from normal due to suppressed gland for a long period or high doses. But in his case, thyroid is overproducing T3, so I'm guessing that disorder shouldn't be T3 cycle related. Now If that cycle triggered the genetical disorder, is that possible? how much are the chances? Falcyou, does someone in your family has thyroid problems history?
good luck buddy and be healthy.

I think its normal thyroid upregulation after supresstion period. When you run T3 your body will downregulate T3 production, and when you stop cycle T3 levels will be very low. But after a while body will upregulate T3 levels to come to homostassis, then T3 levels will peak for peroid of time.

Body should come back to homostasis though, wait little bit and try testing again.

That's really bad luck. Sorry to hear it.

Sounds like the cytomel is the culprit. I don't think clen can affect your thyroid. But cytomel sure can.

Hope you get new tests and the number improves. Not cool to be on the meds for life.

Best of luck.

I'm guessing here but based on what falcyou said his body (immune system) is attacking his thyroid hormone. So it sounds like he may have a type of autoimmune thyroid disorder where his immune system is producing antibodies to thyroxin (T4) and/or triiodothyronine (T3). Subsequently he is producing more thyroid hormone to compensate for this.

All the best falcyou, I hope everything works out.

So if this ^^ is correct, then why is your doctor giving your Synthroid? The normal treatment for a hyperactive thyroid is radioactive iodine. Feeding you more thyroid hormone when your thyroid is hyperactive doesn't make sense.

My understanding is that Falc’s immune system has malfunctioned, interpreting his body's own thyroid hormone as foreign. Subsequently TSH is significantly elevated as his body attempts to produce more T3 to compensate for the lack of circulating thyroid hormone.

He has been prescribed Synthroid to further boost his level of T3, which although produced in abundance is now “under attack”.

Once the immune system has malfunctioned in this way it no longer accepts certain cells / tissue (in this case thyroid hormone). What may have happened is that the foreign substance (Cynomel), which resembles the natural hormone T3 has entered the body causing an immune system reaction, as a result the immune system has inadvertently targeted the endogenous body hormone as well as the foreign substance.
