This site has some a cool BMI index

a link to calculate BMI! Very cool. They have a lot of other good info there too. People should take time to look at that site.

The problem w/ the BMI scale is that it is not accurate for athletes..

uh huh. . . well, anyways. fitnessparadiseworld has very good bmi for athletes over 21(23-25 really) for a index or body type for that matter. athlete or non. Thier bmi index is different-its better than the others and it is VERY accurate.

Perhaps I saw the wrong on eon their site? I didn't see the option for body types.

Calculate your BMI - Standard BMI Calculator

Tis is the link from their site that I used...

I was wondering how accurate their BMI counter was, it looks like a safe and reliable bmi scale. Im glad KenBragg thinks its a VERY accurate scale, maybe next time I need to calculate my BMI I will put this scale to the test. You can never have too many bmi scales to choose from!

I don't see anything different about that BMI chart. It's height and weight just like every one I've seen. Waist to height ratio is a much better gauge for athletes.

Body-Mass Index, Waist-to-Height Ratio and More...

Agreed, waist to height is much better guide.

For example I am 6 ft and weigh 240 Lbs @ 12% BF.. a regular BMI says I am 32.5 on the BMI scale... Hmm... don't think so..

however, thx Needto for posting the link as it will be very benificial for most ppl..
