The rumor is that a youth was asking to "test drive" the floor model (just turn on the motor, hear the exhaust, feel the trans. go into gear, etc.)...

Apparently that wasn't enough and the youth in question (who is being held by the Bristol TN P.D.) somehow (either intentionally or accidentally) dumped the clutch at/or near redline...

I can't imagine them actually letting someone start a car indoors like that just to hear it run. That place would be getting filled up with carbon monoxide and shit. It's probably more likely that they were driving it into the showroom as a display and someone screwed up. It's some dirty shit either way.
