It is fairly fast. With the WRX, it's one of the two fastest compacts out there.

Kid probably thought the car would autopilot itself out of the showroom in the same way their ads show mits being driven by people who are doing everything but paying any time and attention to their driving. What's the expression? The chickens have come home to roost? Couldn't happen to a nicer company. Shame it wasnt an Eclipse. I have never seen an Eclipse on the road that wasnt engaged in a moving violation.
