thinking about buying a bmw I dont like any of the new models though

If you want a car to work on then buy and old benz diesel and run veg oil in it.

Since this is a car thread, someone give me advice on which one of these cars they would buy. I have a jeep/harley and will probably do the above for a gas milage car to keep the libs off me for burning gas. I am however wanting a pimp car, what would you advise. BTW the performance specs are the same for both.

sooooo much misinformation in this thread, it reminds me of the anabolic board actually

if you wrench yourself like i do, dont worry about parts and shit like that. not any worse than most other cars on the road nowadays (pricewise). i daily my 93 325is and have for the past 2 years. went from 85k to now 131k and you know what ive put into it for parts??? a battery and brake pads/rotors. ummm... not really breaking the bank. i think that was a total of $200 (doing it myself). no "leaks" or any other problems at all.

just find yourself a 93-99 3 series that has good documentation on it for maintinence and a good owner (most bimmer owners are enthusiasts) and youll be gtg.

I already have two, unlikely to buy another rental for awhile. Got some toys I want to buy first.

I would take Saab over a bmw any day if i bought foreign. But I would only buy a good truck in reality.

this type of assinine "live for today, foik tomorrow" explains the rising rates of bankruptsy in this country... :(

Or just work harder and make more.

and spend much more than u make....

In order to avoid this I suggest working harder and making more. Otherwise stay with cars like Civics, Focuses, and whatever. Not that hard of a concept to grasp.
