The Walmart you don't know

....

I think you missed the point of some of the article Atlantabiolab..

Wal Mart has become so strong its actually MODIFYING natural driving forces in the economy to its favor... and to the disfavor of everyone else.

read the article again.

they make a reference to A&P in the early 20th century and how laws were enacted to keep them from causing severe damage to the economy.

Matt... you have to start somewhere.

Doing nothing... apathy and cruising along for the easy ride on a comfortable income may be working for you... but it wont work for your sisters kids... any your friends kids or anyone else that will keep this country going in the future.

If you think I am "cruising along" you are mistaken. I could retire today and live comfortably. I work like a dog, and the reasons I do it are to accumulate enough that one day I will force change on people unable or unwilling to make their own.

I do not think the average American is stupid (not saying you do) but I do think they spend the majority of their existence in a day to day struggle to put food on the table. And in their mind cannot afford the luxury to consider these things.

But what they do NOT realize is that being inconsiderate to these ideals will only eternally perpetuate their plight.

The average American has no concept of anything beyond their town and their TV set. Most people live and die and no one ever knows. You're wasting your time trying to reach them. The only way to impact their lives is to change the structure that they live in. It requires tremendous money and power to do these things.

Our media will NEVER educate them to these ideals... and you and I WILL disagree to the reasons why.. but nontheless I think you will agree they will never get the messgae for whatever reason.

The media exists to sell things, no other reason. One of my longer term goals is media involvement.

Somehow, someway... the average American NEEDS to be told, educated and has to become more Nationalistic in their attitudes and cultures. Its up to people like us... educated people who care about the future of this country to teach them one by one.. neighborhood by neighborhood.

I agree with you except for the "one by one" part. You change large groups, by rising above them and changing the structure of their world.

maybe you think Im an idealist. I am. I am also a staunch Nationalist and a Patriot. I beleive in capitialism... but capitialism with ethics... maybe an impossible idea.

I am an idealist too...we want the same things, which is why I was in the Army. I love America. The ways to achieve those outcomes is what we disagree on.

Actually they refer to A&P and the laws that were passed on "predatory pricing" but showed no evidence that this occured or how it caused harm. Claiming that laws were passed, does not prove that they were done for valid reasons or benefited anyone, as can be shown in the classic case of Standard Oil and the present day Microsoft case. Anti-trust and Monopoly laws have rarely shown any benefit, save to the disgruntled competitors of the claimed "monopoly". It is simply tools of the competitors to use to attack a more successful company, smothered in terms of social protection.

Wal Mart sucks! They won't sell Maxim magazine because the women in bikinis on the cover are supposedly destoying the countries morals, however, they will gladly sell you 9mm ammo to kill your neighbor. What hipocrisy!

They sell you the ammo to use a firearm. How you use it is not Wal-Mart's issue...

Most Americans are working class. (median household income - $43K)

Most Americans are unedcuated (majority does not have a college degree)

There need not be causation for both to be true.

Want to share you percetptions of the average American now, or keep ranting?

So a College Degree is a determinant of Education? Hahahahahahahahahahohohohohohohohohohohohohohahahahahahehehehehehahahahohohoho
