You and my Old Grump have similar tastes. LOL

'Course I am still trying to figure out what he is doing with me. I 'spose I ain't as dumb as I look. :goof:

That show about the Universe is more than a year old.

They are showing now a new episode of "The Universe" called "parallel Universes", the new edition where scientists are finding ways to prove That hyperspace is full of infinite amount of parallel universes that are born and die all the time, as well as proving different dimensions of space and time with parallel universes inside our own universe in parallel times.

Actually all these theories are being tested through high-speed particle collision in Switzerland under high security measures for reasons that I prefer not to mention here...lol

I know, I watched the episode you're posting about, it was the first youtube I found...

I love physics.

I still believe the space program is a big money pit and should be stopped.

If the U.S. taxed church's we could pay for it 10X over and fund other science. :)

how about they tax the individual less and start taxing the churches?

Use that money to build up aging infrastructure of this country. Route some fucken heavy duty optical lines throughout to fuel the bandwidth that feeds my disgusting porn habit. The rest can go to the space program.

Well we need the space program because is the way we have to develop the basic technology to explore other dimensions and travel light year distances. Of course we will never travel for example 100 years to reach another civilized planet simply because that is not the way to travel those distances. And that is what scientists are working on. Parallel dimensions of same time but different space co-exist with us in the same universe. Some of these "membranes" can be as close as a couple feet away. If we see a planet 500 light years away from us, it could be a way to reach the same planet but in the next membrane in a real time of an hour. For that we need to find first the mathematical way to jump to that next level, in which the M theory suggest the existence of these membranes, and we need at the same time be able to identify these membranes so we know where are we going. That's how different civilizations are able to visit us, but some of them are naturally evolved species in the universe from millions of years ago.

No doubt, a church doesn't even have to file with the IRS like other non-profits. I have yet to attend a church that didn't take a political position...the laws are in place to make them taxable.

wasn't this a universe related thread?

That's great science fiction, but nothing to do with reality. It's like all those people that think some simple interpretatins and solutions to the Einstein field equations means we can jump in a spaceship and fly through worm holes... only even less realistic, if that's possible. It's great theory and math, but not a practical engineering application -- and won't be for such a long time that we can approximate it to not even be experimentally possible at this time.

And LQG > M-Theory :D

Ok, then I'm out, nothing to see here.

I like Star Trek too...as an educated person I don't see it happening either, but what do I know.
