It is true. You know it is. I've ignored it. Other people know it, as well. I don't have the ability to do a search for the post.

I think the fact remains that I teasingly called you a tool and you attacked me for having a baby and being unwed, etc, etc. I think there are plenty of single moms on this board who won't take to kindly to your insults, either. You should quit while you can.

ok, since heather obviously doesn't know how to do a search, despite averaging ~40 posts per day, can someone please help her out and find any posts in which i attacked her for having a kid?

Thanks sweetie. I know that it will be okay even though I got kicked down harder than I've ever been in life. Everything will come together, and I have learned a BIG lesson about giving trust too easily.

I said this to superqt once about this topic. Most of the people on here who are in really great shape probably at least have used the law of attraction at least in that area. Think about it. They probably approach each meal and each lift thinking "I do it this way, because I am an athlete." Even before they get to the ultimate goal, they picture themselves as athletes. I doubt anyone has achieved as much success by thinking, "I better go to the gym so I don't get fat. I better not eat that or I will get fat."

Of course, that is by far oversimplification, but you see the point.

Avoiding this thread. It's the exact same motivational psychology used by everyone else, just marketed differently. Personally, I prefer VoxDeis's old newsletters.

There is nothing secret or new to this, other than marketing and advertising opening up the area of motivational psychology to people who wouldn't otherwise be exposed to it.

All that is, all that was, and all that ever will be exists within the realm of possibility of the Zero Point Field, which is the body of G-O-D.

Lmao. I didn't even remember what the thread was about when I got caught up in heatherrae and p0ink's argument.

I think they should apoligize to each other and decide at the moment to start thinking positive. I see both sides of their argument. They are both strong-willed people, who both think they are right :) There is NOTHING wrong with that, however, they should consider the ways that they are both wrong (in poinks case, not noticing that heatherrae had just been teasing him and in HR's case, not being technically correct in her response to him).

If they could only see the other side, this thread would truly be going in the right direction.

I've personally improved a bunch over the past year at admitting my wrongs. I still have sooo much work to do on "the secret"---all i've done so far is watch the Oprah show. I know it would help me so much to start thinking positive. I'm more of an analyzer than a "do-er", though (my analyzing of the bickering should be enough proof, lol) I'm changing that starting in 10 seconds. 10...9....8.7.6.5.4.3.3.2.....1. I have a strong, powerful mind and body that thinks positively, eats healthy food, and exercises diligently.

And...everyone on this thread loves me and enjoys my posts.

my friend was also pregnant at the time, but lost the baby and never had another.
well, she dated for the past 12 years or so, and didn't have any trouble getting a date, but they never lasted, which made it worse.
Her anger and bitterness was still out there. whether she knew it or not, she was projecting it.
once she let go of that anger and thought positively, things improved for her a LOT.

I would not classify myself in the same regard as your friend, but I can relate and need to adjust my toxic thinking.

While I would have never admitted it then (they did work).

its not subliminal
its basically about how you get back what you put out (to the world) and about positive thinking. although, its also about positive ACTIONS, not just thinking.
you can get what you want from life, when you stop letting your self hold yourself back.

Ah - I thought I saw something posted by PBR about sound technology and i remembered it as being subliminal.
 
argh - there is no 'secret'.

let me break it down for you, you visualize yourself doing/becoming/gaining whatever makes you happy, and it will magically come true, if you just try 'hard enough'.

this is nothing new, and it has been used in countless self-help books, videos, and seminars, since the industry began.

they try to market it as if some cosmic force is behind this 'secret', and they get a bunch of people you never heard of, who tell you all sorts of stories and unsubstantiated tales of how it worked for them blah blah blah.

i will bet serious money that i have done more reading on metaphysics and the occult than anyone else on this board. and though i am far from being any expert, i can guarantee you, beyond any shadow of a doubt, that the oprah winfrey show would not feature any sort of ancient, esoteric 'secret', or anything else that may even be remotely involved in the occult.

sorry, but that's the truth.
 
One of my favorite motivational pieces from the VoxDeis newsletters was titled, "Stop whining and do something about it".

I wish that could be programmed into peoples' heads before birth...

No one ever said it was esoteric or involved in the occult. Yesterday you had never heard of it, and today you are presuming to lecture about it.

i watched the video yesterday, and formed my own opinions.

yes, they do have some phd's talking to you, but the other people are metaphysicists (not the philosophical kind, but the creepy kind who wear crystals and think they can part clouds with their thoughts types), a feng shui interior designer, some reverend of some unknown religion, and a couple of authors, who just happened to already put out several self-help books in the past.
