The myth: Weed makes you lazy

I'm sure everyone has heard it. People who smoke weed are lazy. Wee makes people lazy. Amotivational syndrome is real!

Check yourselves.

There isn't any data to support that, but some people do see pot smokers and think of them collectively as a lazy bunch.

What does that mean, lazy? To me someone who is lazy is someone who does the bare minimum required of them to get by. Someone who will sacrifice quality or work for no discernable reason.

Others think lazy means you are not a "go getter" or over acheiver. Someone who sleeps a lot?

Did you ever think that weed makes people happy? It makes them have a good time and feel pleasant, even content. It reduces anxiety (except for those who get paranoia, a real side effect of marijuana). It makes you feel good about life.

People who feel good about life DO sleep easier, maybe they aren't as concened as the next guy at making quite as much money, why? If you are happy now, what will more money do? Maybe other people look for their high in other places, or are constantly chasing it, but those who have found the herb have what is right for them to make life smooth sailing.

I love dope, I love getting high..

but smoking marijuana definately makes people lazy.. I've been around people smoking dope for over a decade now, and 8/10 times any motherfucker gets high, they almost completely lose all motivation, shit they don't even want to move.

Especially out here, cause our chronic is some wheelchair if you know what I'm saying, like BOOM you're a quadrapalegic (sp) and you aren't able to move even if you wanted too, thus making you lazy.

When I smoke a bowl. I am up for the next ten hours. No going to sleep for me. Weed hypes me out and makes me work 10x harder and faster. SO this weed makes you lazy is a bunch of bullshit. At least for me any way.

I do remember that Marijuana seemed to help me improve my focus and concentration when I was younger. It definitely helped my appetite - and food tasted better.
