Yeah i gotta agree with that, you can pump in thousands of dollars of drugs in your body but if you don't have those freak genetics your chances of making it pro AND doing well are slim to none. I still think its pretty possible to at least make it pro but you would be at the bottom end, still not an easy achievement.

It's impossible to make it PRO in Strongman if you dnt have near-to-perfect genetics.

Becca weighed more than 180 lbs with abs before she ever touched a weight. Back when she was doing strongman she was 230 lbs with abs. Her hands were exactly the same size as mine (mine aren't small). Such a wonderful woman but was never invited to the WSW contest because of "beauty appeal".

Strongman comps are really popular in the UK and often broadcast on the main telly channels, so I have watched quite a few.

Is the WS the one sponsered by Met-Rx all the time, the one that Mariuz has (mostly) won?

I did see a few of the women's one, in all honesty, there was one girl from somewhere in Scandinavia who was as cute as a button, but she was the only one.

That the 'beauty' factor is at all important is ridiculous.

I realise that having attractive people, especially with women, makes these unusual sports more marketable, but still, that is really disgraceful.

How so? Unless your really fucked gentically, you have a decent chance of making it pro. BTW pro does not mean WSM on tv, there is ASC, IFSA, etc. there are alot of pro guys who you probably never knew of.

Correction: I should've probably made myself clear. When I said pro, I meant WSM. Those dudes are frickin genetically gifted it's not even funny.

The WSM and WSW are sponsored by Met-Rx but the best athletes are not with that organization. It just has the best promoters as far as international advertising is concerned. That is the one that Mariuz (Poland) has been very successful at for a while.

Heini is from Finland and she isn't small. I have my picture made with her somewhere that I'll look for. She is tall and MUCH bigger than she looks on TV, but is pretty cute still. How many "ugly" women did you see competing? If you were a sponsor...what would you sink your money into? I don't like it but I promote "shows" as well and looks sell on the men's and women's side.

Imagine being the woman who dominated every show (by a mile) for a couple years and not getting the invitation to compete.

Not typically aesthetic but neither are Clydesdale's but they are my favorite horses
