Mine is from my neck and lower back. It sucks when it gets all tweaked out. My hands and arms shake too feels like I have no strength in them or my legs.
I was having trouble writing my name to sign in today.

Chiro here I come.

thats good news. beta blockers sometimes dont work very well, especially depending on what youre doing with your diet.

im kinda surprised that they had you on a beta blocker as their first choice in the first place though...docs tend to use one of the fluid affecting meds (like the new one that youre on) before they use the beta blockers, especially in younger people who work out

anyway dont stress. you still have a lot of drug options that work completely differently from your previous ineffective med - there are 5 main classes of blood pressure drugs before you start combining them. one didnt work. another will. stress less :)

Metoprolol? Not a great blood pressure drug.

With your blood pressure so high, I can only assume that:

1. They are using the proper sized cuff,

2. They have at least ultrasounded your renal arteries to rule out renal artery stenosis as the cause of your high blood pressure.

If they haven't done number 2, they'll soon find out after checking your kidney functions while on the ACE-inhibitor. It'll make your creatinine bump.

Renal artery stenosis doesn't sound like fun.

We can still go shooting, just have to lay off on the drunken debauchery.
