Honestly being that young and only at 180 pounds you still have a lot of room to grow and develop naturally. DO NOT START JUICING YET EVEN IF IT IS JUST TEST. Naturally you should be able to put on 20 pounds without any side effects or health issues. Of course it will take you a few years but it is well worth having a solid base before you start juicing. Think about it like this. You have to have a solid mind muscle connection along with years of training and experience before you can get the most out of your cycle. Since you have been training seriously for only a short amount of time you probably do not have the full cognitive recognition of your body yet. You could start using test but during your cycle you will find ways to improve your diet and training or maybe even realize the mistakes you been making. The harsh part of the lesson comes when you realize the mistakes you have been making and realizing you been making them while fucking around with your hormones, wasting your time and money, and possibly deteriorating your health.

Try this out first. Go a few more months training. Focus on your diet and goals ie gaining weight or loosing fat. During your workouts if you can get to the point in your workouts where it feels like your muscles will pop off your bone, you can not walk because there is so much blood pooled in your quads, you push yourself to failure on every muscle group, you vommit from doing a god set of ham curls, etc etc etc

Then and only then would I give my consent that it would be time to start juicing. If you can not get to that point in your training naturally you will not be able to have really any good gains from a cycle.

That is just my two cents worth though. Just trying to prevent another sporty spice from hopping on too soon before realizing that all of these "gains" come from the gym and not just the juice alone.
 
Test E is generally better for a first cycle. Because of the longer esters, you don't have to pin nearly as often as with test prop, and it is less painful. It would be best to keep it simple and as painless as possible when getting your feet wet. No need to make things any more difficult than you have to

Test E would require a longer cycle right? As it take around 4 weeks to really kick in im guessing a 10 week cycle of test e is equivalent to a 6 week cycle of test prop. Am I right in saying this?

Yes,no. With enanthate, it takes a little longer to see it in the mirror, but physiological changes start to happen quickly. If you have spent a lot of time in the gym you will notice the little things within a week. Energy, appetite, libido etc... It grows steadily from there but by week 3-5 its in full swing and you're probably standing 10lbs heavier on the scale. Prop works faster and I prefer it over E purely for the fact I typically run shorter cycles.

I just got prop and going to get bloods tomorrow before i get started but a buddy of mine is also running the prop and getting pip. Is there any way to minimize that. Would ED be more forgiving or EOD? Going to 100mg EOD for right now but a little worried about it now. 2 buddies on the same prop are having pip issues

Well after much deliberation on what to start out with, I've learned i was going way too far overboard. Being an aspiring noob to AAS, this place seems to have the most reliable source of information. I'm ready to light this firecracker

hey bro, as a first timer its always better to do test e, prop is out of the question here, not only its painful but it also requires frequent injections, that means injection site rotations (unless you are a RN you are not going to really know how to pin yourself) so keep it simple test e 500mg for 12 weeks feel it out then plan you next cycle. good luck
 
Prop gets my vote, I always have clients start on prop because that way due to the short ester if something goes wrong or they get a bad reaction and they need to pull it the gear doesn't take forever to flush out of their systems
