Tendonitis/ Rotator Cuff Pain

My pain in my right shoulder has recently become unbearable. Can anyone give me any suggestions on cycles and/or better ways to train chest/shoulders. I'm considering throwing in some deca with my Test/anavar/GH cycle coming up.

be smart. go see a orthepedist. u may have an injury that might get worse if u keep training it unless u train real light and do exercises that dont aggravate it further. as for the deca in your next cycle. everyone hears it all the time that deca helps with joint problems. i too have used deca for this purpose and it helped me a good deal. only thing though is i was suffering from mild joint pains. in your case i dont see how deca would do u much good. the G.H. in your cycle would do much better in helping with your problem. seriously though. go get it checked out first. ignoring the injury might set you up for disaster later.

I agree with Mike.

I had the same injury and I went to the doctor. They prescribed a month of physical therepy doing exercises to strengthen my infraspinatus, supraspinatus and my subscapularus muscles.

I also changed the way I bench pressed. I realized that I was not keeping my scapulas tight during lifts and flaring my lats out at the end of the lift. This is Ok on light weight, but if you plan on lifting anything substantial you are looking at a sure shoulder injury.

I agree with the other bros.. find a ortho... someone who is into sports med, or perhaps even a rehab doc that specializes in sports med. You don't want to agrevate something that could be serious.

Definatly see an Ortho. Good ones for shoulders are ones that treat pro baseball players for obvious reasons. If you live in or near a major city, with a pro baseball team, find out who treats them and goto him/her. Good luck and don't hurt it worse. it is not worth it.

i also did the same thing i went to my doctor and he just gave me a prescription anti inflamatory drug. dont waste your money just take glucosamine ,ibuprofin and work your bad sholder out every morning then ice it down when your done.also stay away from free weights for a while youll just make it worse if you dont want to lose to much size just do machine excersises with light weight.this worked for me.

Listen to someone who knows about rotators....the ortho.
They'll put you on a good strengthening program, but it takes time for these to heal, believe me b/c i've been there. I've thrown enough baseballs to damage my shoulder and elbow. otc stuff won't cure an injury.
You have to learn proper form, especially when benching. If your upper arms go below parallel to the ground, you put stress on your shoulder joint. squeezing your scapula at the bottom of the lift will really help you keep from going below parallel and putting undue stress on your shoulders. Surgical tubing and light dumbells will become your new best friends. I use them religiously to build up the rotator muscles, especially in the back of the shoulder.
Good luck and be careful. You don't want to have a reconstructive surgery.

sorry killa but if his shoulder problem is as bad as he says, glucosamine is not going to do shit for his problem. dont give advice if u dont know what your talking about. someone may very well read this post, follow what u wrote, and ignore common sense to see the doctor just because some individuals would rather not go thinking it will heal on their own or by taking a supplement.

If you are doing behind the neck military press or behind the neck lat pulldowns, stop doing it now! Those exercises are the worst thing you can do to your rotar cuffs, anything behind your neck puts you in a vulnerable position to fuck up your rotor cuffs.I will not even think about doing either one of those exercises.

Thanks for the replys. My poundages are way down and it's depressing. I noticed that it got worse after I began doing heavy deadlifts again.

Before you see an orther and go under the knife, see if there is a doc in your area that does prolotherapy. I have an appt to see if im a candidate for it in the beginning of Jan.

i had very bad rotator cuff problems from a football injury. i coundn't even throw a baseball without my shoulder popping out of socket. one lift i did alot for rehad was delt raises in front and on the side. start out with light weight and make sure your muscles are well warmed before starting any lifting exercises. there are four muscles in your rotator cuff and you need to strengthen all of them. also work on stretching and getting a full range of motion. the best time to stretch is when your muscles are warm and loosened up. everyone else was right as well, sports docs at a local hospital can help in your rehab. good luck.
