T4 / T3 / Cytomel?

Anyone take any of these? I had wanted to go for cytomel, but am very scared about messing up my thyroid permanently. Just curious to know anyone's experience or suggestions ... any info. I am female, weigh about 122 pounds and am 5'2". Bodyfat is between 12 - 15%. My goals are to drop body fat, harden up and become more vasular.
 
The two main thyroid hormones are T4 (thyroxin) and T3 (levo-Triiodothyronine). The thyroid gland mainly produces T4 which is later converted by a deiodinase enzyme to T3. The interesting thing is that T3 is about five times more potent at
raising the Basal Metabolic Rate than T4. In a dieting situation, the body produces less deiodinase enzyme, therefore producing less T3.
Without the effects of the more potent T3 the Basal Metabolic Rate decreases. Of course, there is plenty of T4 but it’s just not potent enough to
maintain the metabolism. With a lowered metabolism, less calories are burned on a daily basis and the diet ceases to work.

thanks for the info. so if i were to take T4 would that still be effective (even though it's milder than T3)? Also, what are the side effects after I stop using it?

Do plenty of research. T3 needs to be tapered, or you may be hypo for ever. 6, 12, 25, 50, 75, 75, 50, 25, 12, 6 Something like that 3 to 4 days each. You may want to come down even slower. Anything over 75mcg/day and I felt like shit.
 
T4 has a much longer half-life and is less potent. You will have to take 4 times the amount of T4 to get an effect similar to T3. Example: 25mcg T3 = 100mcg T4 hypothetically speaking.

Im also a female 24 and Im currently taking cytomel. first off..why do you just want to take it? I mean if your not competing why take it? The results are only temporary. You shouldnt be on the stuff for more than 6-7 weeks, so you'll be exrta lean for 6-7 weeks. I dont take more than 35mcgs a day. When Im off I supplement with guggels, bladderwrack, myrhh, and tyrosine to jump start my own thyroid.
