Surgery....while on?

Member
Getting some mild surgery done on my nose... will be under for 90 minutes.... Currently on 400mg per week Cyp....and 2 i.u ed GH....

Think I will be ok without telling my doc? I have an RX for my toys....but my company would freak out...so I want to keep it outta my med files as best I can....

I doubt bleeding will be that big of an issue on your nose. the have ways to keep it from bleeding too much. are they gunna do any pre-op blood work? They may throw in a PT/PTT which is a bleeding time study. If he is concerned about your clotting time he will talk to you and ask what drugs your on that may not be listed on your medicine reconciliation form.

Also your work should not have acces to your files even if it is on their company insuarnce. That would be a HIPPA violation. If they found out then you GET PAID!!!!!!!

Med records are confidential ,but i will not include certain items in my pt. charts if they are concerned, i would hope they would tell me before surg. alwways best to be safe, but your test should not cause undue bleeding if healthy otherwise

They are not confidential to your insurance provider or any future insurance provider.

They might drop you, raise your rate, deny claims, etc.

Assuming he is in the good ole US of A.

Actually not.
They dont have a harder time pulling you actually if they want too.
They can refuse to fill any claims that might be related to AAS usage. Its not hard for them to make up shit.

The chance that they will review the file is small if you have insurance as a part of employment from a large company.

If you try to get insurance they will pull all files for the last 7 years or so and your rate will be based on every damn thing they can find.

I had to justify:
Doctor recommend to take baby asprin every day.
doctor recommend to take folic acid every day.
Got 30 ativan had to justify why.

Insurance companies are not in the business to pay out.

He's absolutely right. Being honest about AAS, if not prescribed, with ANY doctor that is part of your "plan" could prove to be catastrophic. When, more likely than if, they find out they will start denying coverage on procedures or any other shit they can "assume" is related, caused by, sounds like, or smells like may be related to AAS use.
It's the perfect "out" for them to NOT PAY for your treatment. Trust me on this one, the doctor MAY be acting in your best interest, but the Insurance Companies ALWAYS act on their best interest. And their best interest is making 'motha fuggin' MONEY! Lots of it might I add. ;)

I have to submit to medical screening for my job...every 5yrs...its very strenuous work and I sometimes live/work abroad... My meds are RX...HRT therapy... My hope is that they dont one day get some type of national database based on SS#...but who knows..

I actually looked at my cycle and will be switching to Deca 3 weeks prior to surgery... I've been under anaesthesia twice before...once for gyno...dont recall if I were on at the time..

Well i guess all insurances are different. Where i am from and where I am now, they pay even for pre-exsisting things if you are on with a big corporation. I have worked at many big hospitals Like HCA, CHW, and about to transfer to kaiser. I have never had to prove why I was on something that was prescribed. I take a couple of meds on a regular basis. My rates have never been different.

Older people I work with pay what I pay for the exact same coverage. In fact I pay a litle more with less health problems because I wanted better coverage. Tesosterone is not a steroid it is a hormone. So TRT is a legit script so the OP should not have to worry about it if it is legit. Now the Deca is a different story. Sorry for typos but I dont wanna go back an fix them right now.

I think you misunderstood me.
I did not have to justify it to the insurance company while I was on insurance.
It was when I was getting new insurance on my own.

Its pretty easy to get insurance when you covered by a large policy but when the company is small or you are on your own the game change.

Its all related to the rate they will charge you.
Now if you want to talk about life insurance thats a bitch :)
