thanks, i`m really strong in dead lifts, nobody else can do same weigth except maybe Jan but he is a big guy and Mr. Universe :) He squat much more than I do though, his legs are insane. he is able to squat with this weight.

I used to be the same way, at a bodyweight of 210lbs, I could pull 500x12 reps, 550x6, easily, no belt or straps. But I stopped deadlifting as often to concentrate on other parts of my back, and now I cant pull squat

I was doing 250kilos(550lbs) for 10reps. As I said I`m pretty strong in dead lifts. But both on the picture with me have back wider than mine :) LOL

thats what I noticed, I've never trained with anyone who could match my deadlift, but while I was pulling that much, I had the back of a 10 year old girl. Now that I dont do it that much, and do all heavy rows and pulldowns, my back is twice the size.....go figure

Well dead lifts good for thickness and lower back area but doesnt do anything to make your back wider.

oooo...Now it's getting nasty. I might just have to try to stay above 250 then....I was gonna cut you guys a break.

If this contest is gonna be August...then I might just have to keep up the large calories for another couple of months.

Im going to start doing deads again...to work the quads and the lower back. Going to start with some realy light weight untilli regain my ballance and form for a few weeks.

I am pretty much done with them
I just got my DVDs in the mail from the show I did, I also ordered the one from the first show 2 years ago.
Two years ago, could pull tons of weight on the deads, no back at all, this show, was lucky to deadlift once a month, my back was huge
go figure, doesnt make much sense
 
I hear ya Needsize. Im not looking to do them for back widht..just the lower back. Btw..i meant hams not quads...although they do work the quads slightly too im sure.

Well it definitely builds trap for me as I look in the mirror this morning and they seem to be bigger that they were before that 660lbs dead lift :)
But you`re right, those crazy heavy deads doesnt do much for back width and it takes over a week to recover from those deads, I think I`ll be doing them once a week as a maintenance routine for lower back, need to get wider back for the sammer. ny traps are already bigger than Jan`s :)
 
Just want to ask everyone... what will you be running (or not) during your diets?
i got a test/eq/tren/winny.. stack that should be a good time.
 
Don't like the EQ but I hope you are ready for something wicked with the others...I'll prolly just stick with Test alone...maybe throw in some Tren, but not sure yet.

We should do like weight classes. Start a sign up thread for each weight class. Like middleweight contest post here, lightheavy weight post here, and so on. Just a suggesiton

I think we will do just plain weight classes not "like weight classes". And it will probably be just plain middleweight instead of "like middleweight".

Just yankin' your chain bro, I give my twelve year old daughter a hard time about saying "like" all of the time...though I am NOT implying that you sound similar to a 12 year old girl.

Actually its 200kilos bro. first three plates are 25kilo each. then 15kilo plate.
He is strongest bodybuilder I know. I only beat him at dead lift sometimes but he can do 300kilos as well, I`ve seen it. and I cant compete with him in bench press or squats, his legs and chest are fucking insane.

Yes he is going pro this year at Mr. Universe. last year was there as amateur and won his category. This time goes pro.
