ran right into my car this morning and then guess what he did? jumped out and hauled ass. just left the car sitting there.

How mysterious it was while the police officer was filling out the report, the call in that the car was being reported stolen.

Even bigger fucking tip off was the fact that the dude that hauled ass out of the car left behind his Miami Dade Community College ID. Yeah it was the same fucking guy because I got a good look at his face. And guess what, the name on the ID (the driver), the name of the person reporting "his" car stolen and actual name the car belonged to was all different. Car was registered in someone else's name in Daytona.

How many want to bet this was the typical "I Will Take Over Your Car Payments" type of scam you see on Craigslist all the time.

Entire driver's side banged and smashed. Unable to open front or rear doors on drivers side. Going by the Mercedes expenses, probably about $14K worth.

Given the speed that he did it... he didn't even wait for the car to stop... he stop busted out the door and hauled ass while the car rolled up to the curb after bouncing off mine... I highly suspect this isn't the first time it happened.

Sorry, glad your not hurt, could of been a National - a number of years a go, some kid car-jacked a car -being chased by cops, drove over the back of my Mom's caddy (the slant back with the tire) in her driveway, thru the top of our brick wall and into the side of her house.

That was some serious damage, my brother woke up on the couch and saw some kid climbing out the window of the car running down the street

Basically the ad promises that an individual (or company) will take over the payments of your vehicle until they either find a new owner to assume the payments or until the vehicle sales. They (sometimes) charge you like $500 and you agree to give them 10% of whatever profit you make after it sells. If they can't sell the car or transfer the payments in 30 days before your next payment is due, they will write you a check for the remainder of the payoff balance.

Of course they take the car and you never hear from them again. You have no car and still have an insurance payment to fuck with.

And then we put up a tall fence at our borders. Not just any fence, but a fence we get from China. That way anyone stupid enough to try to scale it will die from lead poisoning.

that's exactly what happened to my audi...except it was on the passenger side. costing me 7 fuckin grand.

i only had an a4..

So if he was illegal, can charges be filed?

I assume there is no way of getting the damages fixed unless it's from your own pocket or you had uninsured motorist on your insurance (which I never understood since it's required by law to carry insurance on a vehicle)

both doors completely caved in.

cost me 7 g's, and that's a high estimate. i didn't have a chance to shop it around

we probably paid the same for our cars. same class, both german engineering.

if you take it to mercedes itself, then yeah..maybe closer to your figure.

i'd say 7-9k, since driver side doors a little more

I had 13,000 in damage to my Toyota Celica when I wrecked it years ago. No frame damage.

Which is weird because they are suppose to total it if it's over a certain percentage of the car's worth.

That sucks!! I hate all the assholes that drive around with no insurance. Usually you can spot them and I stay clear. If they are breaking far as shit behind the person in front of them then chances are they have no insurance and are extra careful. Plus the ones with piece of shit cars are good indication also.

You guys should build a 10-foot fence dotted with sniper towers about 50yds from the border with Mexico. Land mine those 50 yards. Anyone who makes it through the mine field, avoids the sniper fire, AND gets over the fence and clear of the area before border guards can grab them deserves to be in.
 
Let this be a lesson to everyone also: you should always chase down and beat the living fuck out of someone that runs from the scene of an accident like this. It's worth chancing a trial for assault.

Get some REAL Vengence

Once the idiot is arrested -
Go to the investigative / detention and removal division of ICE for FL State area.

Give them -
1. Police report #
2. name, address, Driver's lic., DOB of suspect from report
3. case #'s from Court
4. county jail inmate info
5. your info.

If he is here illegally they will put a detainer for deportation on him after he has cleared the charges and deny him (or revoke existing) bail.

I'm assuming these are felony charges and they will follow up on this. But it's up to you to keep pushing ICE.
