I'm actually with the kid on this one. I seriously think people's privacy needs to be taken more seriously. I don't agree with the statement one person made about how if you don't want your image spread around the world, then be careful where you leave these images of you. I personally think that's a bunch of bullshit.
It's your image, the person that people are viewing on the image is real, and so is their laughter or disgust for the image. So is the way your life changes for good or bad from peolpe seeing the image. Everyone should have a right to not have themselves be viewed in situations by people who were not intended to see the image. Just because you leave something somewhere of you on it, and someone puts it up in public for all to see really should not make it ok. That's a cop out for people who just couldn't stand to not ever make fun of people's private moments ever again in their lives. People should plain and simply have more respect for other people's privacy. We simply don't, and with all the reality shows and junk gaining popularity, it's sendting the message that it's OK.
Face it, there's a ton of shit humans do that they know is wrong, but will try any excuse available to deem it OK. Just because enough people do something does not make it OK. I bet there's a TON of peolpe across the world who think kiddie porn is fine. Doesn't make it any less wrong. Peeping toms...I bet if any straight person here caught a member of the same sex spying on them in one of your private moments, you'd chase after them and beat the shit out of them huh? Music stealing*er* swapping, I mean. Everyone tries to justfy it. Typical, but guess what, it's wrong, and that's that.
Let's look at a scenario where someone breaks into your apartment and steals some videos with you doing goofy shit. Puts them online. Everyone sees you doing this shit that no one was supposed to ever see, but now you're getting all sorts of negative attention. Is this OK? Should you be more careful as to how you secure your home now? Or is it actually wrong in this case because the objects were stolen?
Anyway, you get my point.
