So that cocksucker Lucas finally sold the rights to star wars...

Eh, honestly Disney owns a lot. Pulp Fiction, by Disney-owned Miramax (this was Miramax's first project after Disney acquired them), didn't suck. Also, The Avengers didn't suck...but then again the recent Indiana Jones movies did. I guess it all depends on who does the screenplay, who directs it, which actors they'll cast, essentially where they *plan* to take the direction of the movie. There's still hope, guys. However, I'm not sure what the new movie is going to be about...everyone's dead!
Lucas had ten Star Wars scripts written already. And the avengers was awesome cause joss Wheadon is the biggest fanboy on the planet.
They're still going to use his unused scripts for the next movies, right? Or at least use them as a guide? If they are, then I don't see the problem. So long as there's a good director attached, good actors, no 3D-conversion bs, all that while still being true to the original Star Wars, then they can't be that bad. Really, it all depends on which direction they plan to take the franchise.
Your lightsaber would have to be pretty impressive for that.

frankly they can scrap his unused scripts, i'm sure they ain't the best that could be done. If they were to follow the books people would be happy. Frankly though this should have been done sometime ago. There should have been movies made when skywalker and solo were in their 40's or 50's. Now it's just going to be sad seeing them busted out for the new movies. Carrie Fisher, well look her up...i just don't know what to say. Mark Hamill doesn't even remotely look like Skywalker anymore. Ford is still badass enough i guess, but fuck not what could have been had they made movies about them as middle aged. They're too old to really be the crux of the movies now...so they'll be in the movies, but then we have to deal with the new dooshbag generation of suckmyassrunning young actors. The movies will likely center around Leah's children and you can bet Pattinson will be in there somewhere. See now i'm getting angry. If they cast that toolbox even as an extra i won't go see the movie. Same with the stupid twilight girl.
