Ok I have been takign spin classes every friday. This particular class lasts for an hour! So anyways yeah my legs are dead and i cant imagin ehow sore the are gonna be. If any of you are into cardio these classes are intense and i give them 2 thumbs up! Plus my instructor is a smoking hot Milf! thats all!

1 hour is too long

A good spinning class should be 30 to 40 minutes

I used to take Spinning.....I loved it & met my hubby there....

Current gym doesn't have Spinning... :(

Yeah the normal classes are 45 minutes. This one is for an hour and is really intense, i come out soaked in sweat.

what is spinning? always wondered.........

Well Its a class that is led by an instructor. You ride a suped up stationary buke ( Spin Bike) You adjust the resistance to simulate hills and flat roads. There are 3 different positions that you ride in. Its a lot of fun, im glad i started doing them. I was informed that you can burn around 800 calories per class.

Yeah, it's a cool class....different music based on whether you are doing hills, flats, etc.....one teacher taught class in the dark -- that was weird...

It's intense & you will break a sweat!!

Woohoo!

There is a little bit more to it than that. Have you ever been through one?
Just curious. I thought the same thing prior to doing it. You have different feelings towards spinning about half way through your first class.

Done it. Hated it. Thought it was stupid.

"Okay class, now we're going up a hill. Get in position! Stand up!"
"Okay class, we're racing down the hill. Lean forward!"

LMAO! You painted a nice mental pic. My class isnt like that at all, i mean there are different positions but when we are going uphill you just increase the resistance a lot to make it harder and same with going flat or downhill, i guess i just have an excellent instructor. Plus i feel so good after doing it, beat but good!

Spinning ?

You sat on a stationnary bike at the back of the room
and you watch the hot chicks :p

Wouldn't you rather watch the chicks on the chest press machine then humping the handle bars of their bike....nevermind.

It's like riding a fixed gear track bicycle, which I used to race. It's a good thigh and cardio workout.

Yeah, I think it also depends on the instructor...... when I took it at the Y there were all kinds of different instructors....one screamed at us & said "You will hate me by the end of this class!" and asked thru the class if we hated her & if you said No then you had to work harder..... another guy played only Grateful Dead music & wore a tye-dyed shirt....

I miss Spinning.....

ok.....good to know, i thought it was some proproception based exercise, lol
