Some quick rants on double standards and other things

Why is it that employers look the other way when smokers need to take "smoking breaks" through out the working day, yet it would not be tolerated if a non smoker were to randomly go outside and just stand there for 5-10 minutes, several times per day?

Over the last couple of weeks, several women at my work place (moms of the non milf type) have complemented me, telling me that I'm looking very good, handsome, etc., with salivating eyes (I've been losing weight). While I personally like it becasue it makes me feel good, I somehow doubt that it would go over too well if an older man were to go up to a younger female employee/co-worker and tell her she's looking hot! What's up with that?

Last but not least, the Dodgers have been stinking it up. They need to wake the fuck up! Jim Tracy is managing like shit, the pitching staff has been pitching like shit and the offenses lack of offense is extremmely offensive.

let;s not get into it, but it is understandable to a point. it is ridiculous when a pregnant woman is getting paid to do the exact same job as me, but has the luxury of sitting down and doing NOTHING the entire time. it's not a fucking disease, it's a choice.

It's part of management's approach of being amenable and ecompassing of employees. Happy employees == good employees.

Unless, you're in a micro-managed environment where *you* yourself are not getting this happy amenable, encompassing treatment. Where you go out for 5 minutes and get chewed out.

In which case, you are NOT a happy employee. Then something _is_ wrong.

I will assume if they let them go out for 5-10 minutes for a smoke -- you can probably get away with quick snack room breaks and the like as well.

And be jealous not -- they'll be dying way ahead of you.
