Solution for all those "Painful injection" threads

Hey folks... we've all seen a ton of these posts... painful injections... sore injection sites.... everyone's experienced it at one point or another.... most any type of AAS can be a culprit, though in my experience Prop is the biggest offender.... I'm running prop and NPP right now and they both keep me sore for days... I rotate glutes, quads, and delts...I do ED injects.

I always shoot after a hot shower.... I always massage the injection site for a while... but I almost always get that soreness about a day after injection, and it lasts for 2-3 days... last week, I was up to arms in my rotation and they had been sore for a few days due to delt shots... to the point that I was going to skip my arm workout... instead, I went out and got some Tiger Balm Ultra and a tin of Badger Balm Sore Muscle Rub... let me tell ya, it worked... I applied it in the morning on the sore areas, and at night I was able to do my arm workout... I've been applying them (one or the other) every day on injection sites and so far the soreness has been minimal to none!

I'm not saying this will work for everyone, but it's certainly worth a shot!

Thanks for your thoughts

I think for some people,

Some gear just can not be tolerated.

T-400 and T-300 are two I will stay away from as long as possible.

this might not be true but it made sense to me

i had a nurse give me a glute shot and she pushed the shots contents in fast

i was sore

i thought about it and thought that the hydrostatic pressure might have torn muscle fibers with quick inject

i always inject slowly and no pain

my 2cents

sounds good theoretically, but in practice.... not sure... I always inject SUPER-SLOW...and I always get sore... it definitely has to do with the gear... and any shaking of the needle while injecting...

guys, you need to be careful doing this. I had injected alot of test/tren into my quad and was sore for a week, and applied some neosporin on the area and had a reaction to it, and it made my leg harden up and made my pain 100x worse. you have to realize whatever you rub on transdermally, is goingto soak into the skin where the oil is sitting and you may be in more pain than it is worth.....just reporting my exp applying topical creams to injection sites!

Good point... strange to think that neosporin (an antibiotic cream) would cause some sort of reaction like that... I guess, as with anything, try it cautiously, try it at your own risk!

yeah I agree, right after a hot shower does help. However, I found heating up my gear in the syringe before I stick (while I am in the shower) does a GREAT job in taking the soreness away. I read an old post on here about using a heating pad to heat the gear and syringe up and since I started doing that, very little if any soreness.

Yeah, you gotta be carefull with neosporin, it does say right on the tube not to use on open wounds, or punctures. Its great for scrapes and minor abbraisons, but if it gets under the skin, it can actually cause a nasty infection. Most drs will tell you not to use it, and if you do, completely clean the area and re-apply a minimum or 3 times a day.

I've sworn by tiger balm for years, its one of the best things ive ever used for muscle soreness, but just like neosporin, you need to be carefull with the injection site. What ive found that works well, is to cover your actually injection site with one of those little tiny rounds band-aids, and then apply. The transdermal effect is a little different then what happens when it leaks through the pinhole you just left from your injection.

one option for that injection site before tiger balm that would be more "durable" is to use the spray on liquid bandage. A tiny spray seals up the actual injection site, and then once it dries, you can use the tiger balm without concern. I have done that myself for sports injuries that have cuts/scrapes and muscle soreness.

I actually haven't been applying it immediately after injection, rather several hours later usually....soreness doesn't come on typically for at least a day or so... I figured after a few hours, the injection site is well closed-off... then I'll apply it again the next day

Good call! Never thought of that... those little round bandaids were the smallest thing i can think of. I'll be picking up a bottle of that tonight ;)

i usually inject right before bed, after ive gotten out of the shower, so i toss on one of those bandaids, and use the tiger balm to massage the area for a good 10-15 mins, then apply a little more before i actually go to sleep, works like a charm every time. Well.. with the exception of prop.. nothing you can really do about the soreness from that, but it def helps.
