it's not a matter of how the gear makes you feel or what you have the "balls" to do once you're on it

it's a matter of how KNOWING you are an "outsider" has affected your social life

do people view you as a scumbag? cheater? weirdo?

or are you dedicated, passionate, hard-working, goal oriented?

for example at work i'm definitely the biggest guy, but it's a corporate culture so i have to be careful how i carry myself

i have to make sure i don't give people reasons to attribute any negative behavior to my assumed use of the juice

yes people ask, but i'm selective. yet at the same time when i speak about my steroid use it's a charismatic conversation where i do my best to address any absurd claim that steroids will flat out kill you

but before any of that i discuss diet and training methods

to my friends and people i associate with i'm a walking example of someone who does it right (and yes i have a shit ton to learn still), and i'm sure MANY of you are as well

we are all responsible for adding or taking away the negative stigma attached to steroid use

we need to be smart, safe and educated
These stentorian words can't be overstated.. truth never gets old... excellent take

i believe the stigma is attached to gear when people discuss it in GROUPS

when i discuss gear 1 on 1 the other person is more accepting and understanding

one conversation at a time we need to change mindsets

not by having everyone on gear (lolool) but by letting people have the thought of - omfg - gear, when used responsibly with solid training and diet habits can increase quality of life...and it's not that bad i swear!

i also believe people should visit docs more often to address potential underlying issues that can be aggravated by anabolic androgenic steroids use, this is just common sense when taking ANY drug, nevermind steroids
True, but you articulate well, 1 on 1 the person has to have a commanding presence, astute knowledge, sense of integrity and responsibility to what they are saying... so true though, deconditioning individuals to mainstream media's propaganda, (or messages that ensure there are no other messages that will contradict them) has to happen one person at a time... I dig your logic...

who uses steroids? :)

Haha, CEO always there for a good laugh.

I totally agree with what Swole said about being

"or are you dedicated, passionate, hard-working, goal oriented?"

Body Building is a life style and takes a lot of dedication, hard work, and a goal orientated mind set...

it angers me that people think that steroid users don't have to work for there gains. They think that if you take steroids your gains came over night and that they don't mean anything. it also pisses me off when people bad mouth bodybuilders. calling them freaks and saying "it's all because of the roids" and shit like that. so many people think that steroids are alot more harmful than they really are.
In the end I don't think anything will change societies view on steroids, and bodybuilding. No matter how hard you work, how big or ripped you get, someone will always think your a Cheater. IF YOUR ON ROIDS OR NOT. But fuck them. I'm getting pissed thinking about this shit, I'm going to the gym....

if i were to use aas i feel it would give me more confidence and make me more open to voice an opinion. if i could just get my bicepts to grow id really be confident

i want to see what disussion follows the bigger stronger faster movie + all the baby boomers on test---i think it may lose a bit of the stigma--just over a dozen years

In reality andropause is no different than menopause which has been treated with hormones for years. However due to the negative stigma of male hormones people just dont see the treatment in the same light which is pretty sad. I for one certainly hope andropause becomes a more socially accepted condition and as the "silver sunami" (ie baby boomers) ages it will hopefully help.
