Isn't that the case for most of the threads?? As I told another member, posting in C&C to me was like the 2004 election to the rest of world. I'm still dumbfounded by many of things I read on this board.

That said, Lestat, there are differences between the races. Anyone that thinks differently is wrong.

W/ regard to physical differences the black race is different from the white race. For example, we store fat differently than white people. We are more susceptible to certain diseases than white people.

W/ regard to intelligence, I disagree. My ex bf, who is white, is brilliant when it comes to mechanical engineering and stats. However, I'm more of an analytical thinker. Oh, and I tutored him in Economics and Finance.

Not that it matters anyway, the more americans bicker over percieved innate differences, the quicker the asians will take over the world and enslave us all. If there's ever been a superior race, you damned well better believe it's the asians. Their genes are so superior that in the next fifty or so years, they won't even be classified as the same unprestigious race that us low-life blacks and whites belong to.

I do believe the slave trade has had an impact on African-Americans vs. Africans. A product of being poor needs more support... because I believe the majority of people living in poverty are white.

I think you miss my point.

There are no innate differences between the races. Blacks aren't more gifted athletically because they are black, whites aren't smarter innately.. fuck that, that is just pure racism.

If you took 1000 people of any race, ANY fucking race, and you killed off the weakest physically and only allowed the strongest to breed, and then killed off the weakest again.. what would you end up with? a population that was STRONGER then average no the whole. That was the original point.

1) I wasn't reading closely enough to differentiate what point belonged to who. But I was mocking Hammy with the second paragraph.

2) There do exist some biological differences between races. Something so generalized as "stronger/faster/otherverb" given by simple reasoning like "all the not stronger/faster/otherverb ceased to exist during some minute time in history" isn't going to be very high up on the list of biological differences, despite the convincing logic from which it was derived.

3) Tell a biologist that. I have a hunch that he would politely inform you that there are quite a few variables involved, and that things aren't as easy as they might seem on the surface.

So... this is not meant to just stir shit up, its meant to spark some intelligent and debate.

I have long believed that the African slave trade in the earliest days of America created an unnatural selection resulting in a "super race." If you haven't noticed, most professional athletic leagues are dominated by African Americans. Even sports that previous did not have any African Americans in, now are seeing them rise to the to (e.g. tennis, golf).

When Africans were first brought here as slaves, it was a dangerous and trecherous journey. The WEAK often died on the ships coming over. Also, the biggest and strongest males were most sought after because of the manual labor they could do on southern plantations. These two factors basically ensured that the African Americans that made it to the US, were of superior physical stature and condition. They had the genes to make them more resilient, stronger, etc. If you want more proof, look at the fact that NBA and NFL players are largely Africans from American decent, not straight from africa, where the population is not as physically adept as the Africans here. I've heard many people agree, that in many ways this is likely true. This doesn't mean that EVERY African American is big and strong and going to be a super star athelete, it just means that in any given population, there is a high percentage these traits. African Americans are a MINORITY of the general population, but a OVERWHELMING majority in the professional sports world.

I'd also like to propose another theory of unnatural selection. This one involves Jews.

During the holocaust, millions were killed. Hitler and his regime spared those that had desireable skills... engineers, doctors, etc. I will assume that these people were of above average intelligence. The ones that were not professionals, were killed. I believe that base intelligence, IQ if you will, is partly genetically determined. I am also assuming that education is generally correlated with intelligence.. this is not always the case, but it is generally true. So the jews with lower intelligence were all killed off, the ones with above average intelligence were saved... leaving you with another super race of people. Jews don't dominate sports in the US, instead they dominate other professionas.. mainly the music and movie industries.. highly profitable industries that you have to be smart to be a leader in.. there are a lot of lawyers, doctors, excutives all of jewish decent.. a disproportionate percentage compared to their percentage of the general population.

These are actually pretty good theories Lestat. I wouldn't be suprised if there was at least some truth to them.
