My wife trains a guy that has a working plantation in Kona, a couple hundred acres. He said the value has gone up 300% since he bought it 9 years ago. Hawaii has been appreciating at a rate of around 23% for the last 4 years. It will level out like anywhere else, but will always do well. Good investment.

Great investment! Even if it didn't appreciate a bit, I would love living in Hawaii.
