sickness

Does weightlifting (no cardio) slow down getting better from small problems? I have been sick now for about 4-6 weeks, nothing serious but really nagging. I am wondering if the exercise is what could be delaying getting better. I am on amoxocilin right now, is it okay to work out while you are on that?
thanks

To answer your question, yes weight training will make it harder for you to recover from an illness. If you are taking antibiotics for an illness then you also need to lay off the weights, not because of the antibiotics but because your bod needs time to recover. Its not easy for your body to repair damaged muscles and fight off infections and such. After you workout your body raises cortisol levels with in turn keeps you immune system from running full boar.
