Shoulder Pain.

New member
Hi

I have a shoulder pain after doing the Wide Grip Lat Pulldown.

The pain is on the bone at the top of the delt...the hard "nobble" like bone...if i press on it its a sharp'ish pain...

Any idea what this could be?

thanks

A very very common shoulder problem among weight lifter's is Rotator cuff injuries. I suffer really bad with one. Although it doesn't start where your's is. Hopefully you don't have a rotator cuff problem, their a bastard to cure.

I have a very similar problem that I cannot figure out...I have a pain in the same place, but mine only bothers me when I do flat bench....I mean I can feel it a little bit when I do other exercises, but bench is the worst....I went to the doctor and he did some x-rays and said that there is nothing wrong.....I took about three weeks off of chest exercises to see if it would help...it felt better until I did flat bench again, then the pain came back....I have a doctors appt tommorow again....i am going to ask him to do an MRI to see what is wrong.....I will keep you posted when I find out.......

I have the exact same problem as you...I have had it for almost a year now, and nothing seems to help. i have tried every anti-inflammation drug there is but i allways come back.... I think it is som ligament that is hurt.... Im sorry to say this but i think the only thing that works is rest...and a lot of it.....:(
Or maybe some Deca it has done wonders to a friend of mine who has joint problems....
Let me know what the doctor said....

Me too. I find that avoiding heavy benching is the only remedy. It always flares up post cycle if I try to go too heavy on benches (incline or flat).
If it is real bad, take a week or two and concentrate on your lower body or cardio.

I have had the same problem for some time now. It finally got so bad that I've had to quit bench pressing alltogether for the last 3 weeks. It still hurts so bad it keeps me up at night. I'm sure mine is a rotator cuff injury. I just started my job recently and when the insurance goes into effect, I'm going to the doc and get a cortisone shot and have him x-ray it. I will probably have to have the orthroscopic surgery done at some point. Anybody else had to have this done? How long does it take to recover after the surgery?

I have had the same problem, and have been lifting with this pain for about 2 years. The doctor told me to take 2 months off(Dec./Jan), i wasn't happy but i did. I completely fell out of shape and gained alot of BF...I have been back for 7 months now AND guess what it didn't get ANY better. Now i just lift through the pain. I will be going for X-rays next week and to a muscle specialist. I love bench and as much as it hurts i keep going...i am also at the 1 1/2months out of a cycle so i really can't take time off now.

**Please PM when you get the results back from your doctor. Good Luck bro, I hope it gets better.
