Shipping express from China

This was posted on another board.......any truth to this..anyone with powder siezures recently from china....I just dont see how they can put 85% of express shipments in a warehouse for 2-3 weeks..that would really slow trade down

However, I contacted DHL today and was told now USA customs has a very strict inspection on all the express. USA raised its threat level and 85% express(including texitiles, chemicals, foods and others) must be held and inspected( it is 15% before this period)). Firstly these goods will be put in a storehouse for about 2-3 weeks and then decide if it can be released. I am still keeping talking with DHL to see if can be returned so I can reship it.

They probably dont give a shit if you get your stuff or not, or if you get busted. They are not breaking any laws in their country, and they have your money.

Likely DHL is a lot cheaper. I send a rather large package recently ( not gear ) and DHL was literally 1/3 the cost of UPS or USPS.

Ahhh i missed that one.....I think I might lay low too until the terror level drops..this doesnt seem to be a push on drugs seizures but maybe something that an increased terror threat mandates....

The government wants to point out what good job they are doing by finding illegal items transported into the united states by catching companies not controlled by the government. Exposing a lot of illegal importatioon of products via USPS would be a black eye for the governemnt.
