She Left Me At The Alter....

JUST KIDDING!!!

We had an AMAZING wedding in NY with 172 guests and then went to Bermuda for 2 weeks. It was GREAT!!! The wedding was such a good time and the honeymoon was TERRIFIC! We had such a blast. I recomend the Fairmont South Hampton to anyone who wants to go to Bermuda. The place and the service are top notch! Hint: Stay in the Fairmont Gold Section. The pool, beach, restaurants, spa, etc... is WOW! It costs you your first born but well worth it.

The whole honeymoon cost us about $19k and the wedding ending up costing us $34k. So the whole thing ran us $53k but well worth every penny!

Now back to reality.... The working man is a sucker. I need to hit the lotto so I can live like this for the rest of my life.

I will post some pics in the upcoming days. The professional pics will not be ready for 2-3 months.

Think of all the starving children that money could have fed. You are going straight to hell sir.

Yes, her family is not that well off and we both are doing well. I did not even ask her family for anything. If they offered, I would of said no anyway. Guess it is the man in me. Work hard - Play hard.
Thanks

my wife and i did the same thing. . .if i have any regret it's that if i had to do it over again, i would probably spend even more money. . .it was a lot more fun than i expected it to be. . .

So true! We spent within our limits which was smart. I did not want to start off in the red. Ya know. We had a budget of $30k for the wedding and we went a little over but nothing crazy. We spent more on our honeymoon because we knew we had it with our gifts and such. That is what I say to everyone, stay within your means! No need to go crazy if you can not afford it but if you can, ROCK OUT!

It stays the same. We already live together and share bills and things.
But now I get to call her MY WIFE.
That is pretty cool! Makes me smile everytime I call her that. Or when she introduces herself as my wife. Huge smile! :-)

How do ya feel? Do you feel any different?

15 years, congrats!!!

it continues to get better too. . .trust me, you definitely don't have to become an "old married couple" like most of your friends probably will after a few years. . .remember, just cause you got a ring on her finger doesn't mean you're allowed to stop pursuing her. . .never get too comfortable, and you'll be as happy as me in 15 years :)

I feel ya. That will not happen with us. We are both outgoing people. We like to please each other and keep things active. We have been together for over 3 1/2 years and we keep things alive! Some people are just lazy and thats what goes wrong. Some are just wrong for each other from the start. We will make it! I know that for a fact! Thanks for the 411.

Easier said than done at sometimes.... It seems it's never 50/50 after many years of marriage. I do not think I've ever met a couple who are "on" 100% of the time. Rare, un-heard of actually.

I have to admit, he's picked up my slack more than I have him as of late. I better work on this huh? :)

I am sure it goes back and forth and not always 50/50. But if you both want it to work, you will help pick up the slack when the other is lacking. Give and take. No one can be "on" all the time. We all need down time and alone time. But as long as you have a good partner in your corner who will be there for you through it all, you can make it if you want to!
It is all personal choice.

Yup, it's my personal choice to take him for granted.lol

No, he knows I adore him even when I'm slacking. Likewise too.

It all works out in the wash....

i don't know jack about 50/50. . .my wife's job (the last few years she's been a stay-at-home-mom) is infinitely more important than mine and probably more complicated. . .all i gotta do is work my behind off and put bread on the table. . .and in the bank accounts. . .pretty simple. . .raising kids, however, is very challenging. . .but she's the best mom i've ever seen. . .i'm in awe of her. . .always have been :)

We were very lucky! Our family and friends took very good care of us. My parents give us $5k which was great and my dad paid for the rehearsal dinner which ran about $7k for 23 of us the night before which we did not have to budget for since he said he was paying from the start. They took good care of us! Very lucky!

Looking forward to the kids. We hope in about 2-3 years. We want to enjoy sometime together and keep going away when we want to. We have a good lifestyle and want to keep it alittle longer. She will be a stay at home mom when the time comes. She is great.
