so heres something ive never thought of until now.. can lowering SHBG cause a rise in estro?? since it binds to estro too? im assuming it cant be that bad cause this never seems to be a concern when just lowering shbg
No you have it reversed. Estrogen is the hormonal marker the body looks at for all its androgemic hormones, just as Leucine is the amino acid the body looks at to gauge protein levels...
Rises in estrogen cause rises in SHBG because the body thinks Testosterone levels are too high since the only way its programmed to make estrogen is by converting test. It doesn't realize that there are all kinds of environmental toxins and plastics that act as xenoestrogens that are wreaking havoc on male endocrine systems these days.
So high E levels lead to increased SHBG which lead to lower test levels. SHBG is created not as a response to Test, but as a response to increased Estrogen, which is normally aromatized from test, which is why these xenoestrogens cause so many issues since test levels aren't high but E levels are and the body still produces higher levels of SHBG in response
