SHBG (ways to decrease it)

The only ways I know to "decrease" SHBG are...

High insulin levels
Low estrogen levels
Low thyroid hormones
And I believe high IGF-1 levels decreases it as well.

My question is....

Will taking MORE testosterone (while keeping E low with an AI) help to "decrease" SHBG?

I take synthroid. But my thyroid levels are normal. They are not high at all. Danazol. What is this drug? Do you have any info on it? Who carries it? I haven't seen this drug NOWHERE EVER!

Th most common and effective way to reduce SHBG vis drug use is Proviron.

The most common and effective way to reduce it naturally is UNLEASHED.

Both available and affordable.

Low thyroid can lower overall and free T.

Increased T will raise Free T but not exponentially. This is why some guys take a gram of gear and hardly grow. Adding a SHBG blocker will help tremendously.

Weird thing is that my FREE test levels show up as high. They are well past the top of the referance range. I believe on the blood work it says that 25 is tops. Mines comes out to 41. But my SHBG is rather high. It's at 30! It was once at 44. So I began taking Proviron at 100mgs per day for a full month. Got blood work done and my SHBG only dropped from 44 down to 31. I was expecting it to go down my lower.

generally speaking yes.

Stinging Nettle has shown in some studies to lower SHBG but it also has shown to block the action of the enzyme that converts test to DHT which in some folks can have its own sides.

Vitamin D deficiencies have shown to cause an increase in SHBG and reductions in natural test. If your an avid lifter you probably want your 25(OH)D levels in the 80-100ng/ml range anyway.

My Vitamin D levels are fine. Had them checked out back in January. I take a calcium/D vitamin. And I make sure I get plenty of sun as well.

Fine and ideal are two different things. Keep in mind a serum test level of 300 is "fine" also. Each to their own.

Damn. And the thing is that I don't have copies of that blood work. I just remember looking at it and saying..."Vitamin D levels are very nice".

One thing to consider when talking about macro-nutrient levels is athletes, and I use that term to simply describe people who religiously workout 5-7 days a week, often have higher nutritional demands than the "average" person.

With that in mind we generally want to be at the very top of the lab reference range.
