sorry for new thread i was gonna put it this in my gay sex thread but i guess sex is just sex in the end.

please be serious guys, im kinda troubled facing a dilemma.

This guy who had previously expressed interest in me, just came out of the blue confessed that he had sex with other men on a few occasions. I was a bit shocked but kept my cool and i asked him about it and he told me. to spare you the details he said his reasoning was just the fantasy that aroused him. an experiment. he still says he's is straight and only desires a relationship with a woman. Im not sure if this is common or not, and men just never admit it. Im still somewhat shocked and disoriented because ive never had a conversation like that with a man.

im almost afriad he'll find this thread and know who i am. I don't think he ever admits something like that and not sure why he did, and i cant help but think differently about him now.
 
I don't even know if im asking a question, making a statement or asking for verification or reassurance.lol
 
steer clear of that kind of relationsip IMO. sounds like he doesnt really know what he wants, despite what he says.
 
Dump him and move on. If he cant commit to his own sexuality he cant commit to any one person imo. If anything it certainly shows a lack of maturity, or a good possibility of going completely gay at some point.

Oh, and hes cheating on you.
 
I have never one time in my life had a fantasy of being gay. I would say this guy is bi, and will continue to play with the same team.

This...to me it sounds like this guy is probably a Homosexual that is having trouble coming out of the closet due to societal norm's and/or a strong man/women relationship in his life that he would like to emulate. All in all straight dudes do not fantasize about having sex with another dude...in any way...period.

Sorry girl but you can do better, try and bury this big of an issue under the rug now and it is sure to come back and bite you.

He's gay. A straight guy doesn't "experiment" or have gay fantasies. To a straight man, fantasizing over gay sex would be like fantasizing over having a 5" nail driven into your forehead.
 
Just to throw a different spin on it....I was single a long time and have dated a lot. In the world of online dating, where people are far more open about what they talk about...I've been surprised to find there are a lot of men who have the desire to experiment with other men. Men I would never have guessed as having those desires. It will usually come up in the context of a 3sum because if there's a woman there, it's not "gay". I don't think sexuality is as black and white as it used to be (at least when I was growing up). He probably does believe he only wants a relationship with a woman but also wants to explore too.

That being said, being involved with him is probably going to mean being involved with other people, even if it's just through him. He will probably hope you will accept his "desires" and that just brings with it a whole set of dynamics and boundaries that would be really hard to negotiate. I'd have to be thinking he was a keeper to want to put myself through that.

Thanks guys, he's not my boyfriend just a guy that never gave up hitting on me even when he new i wasn't single. I never thought of him much but after that convo, he sure pops in my mind alot. I would never in a million years have guessed that about him, im not sure how i kept a straight face during the convo. Also kinda makes you think if past relationships, guys might have been like him. :(

Caligirl, he brought up a lot of those points, almost defensively as if trying to convince me his actions were justified. Dont know if its fair comparing myself to him since i consider myself straight, but i've also fantisized about the same sex in the past, even did a little pecking here and there, but no desire to have sex with a woman.

also i should have said "fantasy of the forbidden" was how he was able to get aroused during his encounters, but i guess it doesn't matter. He said he didn't really like it that much(yet he's had sex with men 5 times) that it was just a release and men were easier to pick up than women(used me for example.lol). You can't really compare your desires to his. Sexual fluidity is common in women, but not in men. It's pretty well documented that sexuality for men is usually black and white, where it can often turn gray for women given certain circumstances.

There are quite a few books and studies about how women's sexual desires tend to be more fluid than men's, meaning that a woman can be totally straight but that if the right person/situation/timing presents itself in a sort of perfect storm, a woman may feel something for a particular women while still considering herself straight and not being attracted to women in general.
