Second chest day?

I started the 5x5 program about 3 weeks ago and am making good progress so far. I'm really trying to increase my bench through the program (along with everything else, obviously) -- I usually do chest day on Monday... would it be a good idea to come in for a lighter chest workout on maybe Thursdays or Fridays? I like the 5x5 but I am feeling like a second chest day would help me gain faster... any thoughts??
 
It couldn't hurt, as long as it's not interfering with other workouts. Your muscles should easily be recovered by that time. A lighter day, maybe do some speed benches. Kind of WS style, I guess. ME and DE days.
