If anyone goes across the border, they should try and walk across for the sake of impounds. I made it through customs several times in jaurez, but seen a lot of vehicles searched. Your drugs would have been fine in your pocket or crotch area. You probaly learned enough on that last trip to write a guide to mexico! I know I did when I was their. Their doctors are for the most part very uneducated, and will tell you whatever you want to hear. I was told that I could take my script with me and declare my controlled drugs and keep them. They should start holding their fake doctors accountable for such things. I didn't listen to the doc, but I got caught in texas.. Time to order soon too?? I'm not really too worried about getting scammed as I am getting caught though.

I just never know if you're going to get hassled or not. I went across on Saturday and came back with a bag of stuff, I started to open the bag and show the Customs dude what I had but he stopped me and said "just go".

I passed over the border that last time during peak travel hours, and on foot. They didn't even ask for my ID. I think they checked every 3rd of 4th person.


I'm still on the list, though. I came back from Belize last year and they detained me in customs for almost an hour. Searched all my stuff and treated me like a criminal. I took it in stride and smiled sweetly the whole time.

What's so ironic about that little episode is that they didn't detain my boyfriend, and he had both our suitcases. They asked me where my suitcase was, and I told them. "You let it pass through customs about 40 minutes ago with my friend." duh.

My boyfriend and I are going back in a few weeks. He's going to see a dentist. I will probably be visiting the veterinarian. We will be walking. I'll let you all know how it goes.

I read your story and you were so fucking lucky that I would have gone to buy a loteery ticket the next day. U have no idea how your life can get screwed FOREVER for something like that. Really, you were fortunate they didn't persue criminal charges. you could've got a criminal record and there is just not easy way to get a decent job afterwards.

Next time, go to the MEXPOST office (MExican P.O.) and mail the stuff back to you to the US. It's safer, if your drugs/meds/roids never make it, the only thing you are loosing is money.

I didn't know the rules regarding post office, but thats probaly the best option.
