I would have been on more over the weekend, but it seems that a family member thinks I'm OBSESSED :rolleyes: with being on EF and fitness. Because I wasn't able to be on or log anything in my book (for fear of ridicule), I'm going to have to think about what I ate and hopefully remember it all.

Ugh! I'm starting to feel some of this backlash myself and it's so annoying. :evil: I definitely sympathize, SG!
 
Go away for two weeks and look what happens..........

SG, when you are a strong person; entrepreneurial, committed, passionate, driven in all areas of life, so many others (men and women) are intimidated. You're not perfect, but to others you appear to be. Even those close to you, family, friends, partners can struggle to be accepting of you and that is hard to handle. "Accepting" people are hard to find, especially as we ALL have our frailties and insecurities.

I am so sorry that things have not worked out for you and Mr SG. Having been through a similar situation myself I can truly sympathise and have extreme praise for how you are handling it; I just immersed myself in a vodka bottle/junk food frenzy for a year or so before I stopped feeling sorry for myself.

Glad you found the condo pretty quickly and are liking the gym. You'll have some ups and downs through this process. Keep strong.

You know what.... My family has been doing that to me since I was 16. Thought I was a weight lifting work-out maniac. Now they just accept that that's the way I am. It's funny as soon as something aches and I say my back hurts. The first thing out of their mouth is "Well maybe you are pushing yourself to much in the gym and need to take a break." I'm like,"Then I could be like mother who is crippled over and aways complains of hurting!" I think a little pain here and there is.... well only human!
Anyway They'll figure it out that no matter what they say if you stick with your guns and show them how not working out is worse and that exercise is a healthy addiction maybe they will get off your back or conform.
I get the snide remark here and there but for the most part people are accepting of what I do, and they look at it like I am motivated and doing something they only wish they had the motivation to do.
Keep up your good work and you know in your head that you're not whacked!

I wanted to close on / move into the condo Friday, but the current owner is planning on moving Sunday. I'm trying not to seem too pushy - lol. I have a way of figuring out what I want and kind of pushing everything out of my way to get it! Sometimes...not a good thing. :rolleyes: So the closing will be next week sometime and move in next weekend. :)
