*Wow my spine felt like it got compressed 3 inches :worried: ... maybe I'll do them seated next time, not sure if that'll help... but ever since 5x5 I like doing lifts without using benches, ect.. when i don't have to for my core.*

first off congrats on the pr's....sounds like you had a great workout! gotta love it when your pumped about getting in there and doing some damage!!

next...i sometimes try and incorporate these into my training...not hammers specifically but the running the rack thing. normally, how many times would you be able to get 40's for? i always start to heavy lol

MM: Grasicas hombre!! Eat up bro... fuel tomorrow's DL MANIAAAAA!!! The Dips... they felt real solid for the 1st time (I've done them only a few times really) I like it. I HATE the dip station i have to use at this gym though... another gym i used to go to in the area has a station with fat bars and it's solid, looks exactly like Tweakles set up... that one kicks ass, i may sign back up there after this membership runs out for a change of scenery, lol.

JP: What do you mean "Normally" how many times can I hammer the 40's for?? lol... you mean cheat curls... shit, I can cheat curl 55's lol, prolly heavier... but it'd be all back and negative reps :) Please rephrase the question for my peanut brain :rolleyes:

Upcoming workout: Week 7 Day 1 on my birthday.

I don't know how to progress with the triples... add 5 pounds? add reps?

This was last weeks Day 1 workout:
Close Grip Bench
45 (bar) x 10
115x5
135x5
190x3 (HARD!!) ... gave myself proper rest here and mental prepared to throw this next set across the room if it felt heavy...got amped up.
190x3 ... Easy... WTF?!... too big a jump, i'm guessing
190x3 ... fine, lol
155x8 ... didn't rest enough... this took a while, lol

This time around I know to do a few singles or doubles ramping up better so the 1st heavy set doesn't feel like it'll bury me.
