You cut down pretty friggin great but your workouts were monsterous at that.. many many reps & sets (unstructured as well, which is fine, instinctive, learning what you can do etc... ). At that time I believe you didn't even really fitday so you cannot get an accurate measure of what you were eating unless you back log & custom the foods to get your ratios. Enter Bunny ... lol
You have a good eye to guesstimate these days with eyeballing cals & quanties (good Sarge), but I feel you got burnt out b/c you were doing too much & kinda blamed cutting when you should have blamed the style of training & not eating for it.
IMO a (non-comp) cut is the same thing as a clean bulk, WITH the ocassional cheat meal, just few cals & smaller portions. Don't you remember how hard it was for you to eat ? There were times you simply were NOT eating enough, esp for the workload you put on yourself.
You ARE your own metabolism test. You KNOW when your muscles are hungry. I KNOW you do. You just goota figure out when to fulfill a craving a when to pass on it. We both do.
