safest supplement for lean body?

I've never been on a forum or done research, though my husband does and knows alot of products for his purposes. I don't think what he uses applies to me or could be safe. I am 45, in decent shape by doing cardio maybe 2-3 days a week, and a light weight routine 2 x week that hits all muscle groups, some extra walking and cycling. My diet isn't the cleanest, so I know how important that is, especially increasing my protein, which always makes a difference.
But the battle of the ripples is getting harder to fight each year (my weight is fine, just cellulite), and I want to know if there is something tried & true AND SAFE, that could burn fat and give me leaner body mass. I am on other medications that don't mix well with anything with caffeine or stimulants, or that can throw off a hormonal balance.
Any ideas, or is it still down to good ole diet and exercise?
Thanks for any help!

You are right, it is pretty much diet and exercise. After you get these 2 components down, you can look at supplements.
For stubborn fat I recommend Yohimburn, it has really worked on me and other people on the board.

As millie said, diet & exercise will give you the best, most constant results. The stimulants like caffeine, etc. really only add a small % increase in "fat burning potential", so there's really no major value in trying to use them at the cost of interaction with your existing medications. You can check with your doctor about other sups, but the best you can do is with the diet & cardio. You might take a look at Glucorell-R (check the AF Store).

Welcome to Elite! The best way to fight "the ripples" is muscle. Muscle will raise your metabolism, making it easier to burn fat. Plus, it makes your skin tighter and firmer. Because muscle is denser than fat, it takes up less space. You can actually gain weight BUT lose inches.

It's probably time to step up the light weight routine to something more challenging. As we age, we really have to fight to keep our muscle, otherwise our body secretly replaces it with fat. We may weigh the same but we wonder why our clothes don't fit like they used to - it all goes back to the fact that fat takes up more space than muscle.

Light weights really don't do the job (for very long at least). If you've been doing the full body routine for awhile, you can move up to a "split" routine where you work certain body parts on certain days. This will allow you to hit those parts harder, but also allow them to rest on the days you work other parts.

Here's a good site http://www.exrx.net/Exercise.html Look under "Develop a workout - instructions" for examples of split workouts.

Thank you ladies for your advice. Just so you know, you have motivated me to push the discipline harder (like my husband does!)!!!
