I only use AIM because that's where everyone else I know seems to be.

BTW, I agree with SoreArms, and I leave the AIM client in Invisible Mode most of the time. I know a few people who will stay on AIM with you all day if you let them.

I wouldn't use it. They'll probably store your chats on their servers so they can index it so they can serve you pr0n ads since it'll be all dirty chat anyway.

Big question: Why?

I alraedy use AIM to do the meat & potatoes of what i want. IM someone i know online.

The rest of the fancy shit is just that -- fancy shit most people won't use.

I really don't use any kind of IMing anymore. Mostly I used it when my sister lived a few hours away at college. Once I changed my cell plan for free/cheap calls to canada it made it even less necessary.

Though as of late I only have free time here and there. I'll have to ponder it.
