i'm 6' 190lbs @ 23 years old, my max squat (high bar, full squat) is 1x180kg (~400lbs) which is pretty much what guys like stuard mcroberts (brawn) claim to be the average person's genetic limit for squats

i'm pretty depressed at the fact i made so little progress

thoughts?

Not sure what your question is ?

if its - have you maxed out your natty genetic potential ?....at 23 i would say no.
how many years have you been training ?

where do you feel you are lacking and what are your goals ?

I've been training for 6 years of which 4 dedicated to olympic style lifting and the last 2 to bodybuilding

i just feel like i'm wasting away with minimal progress. my goals are basically to get as muscular and strong as possible naturally, but i don't really know what i can hope for since everyone at the gym lies about their steroid use and they all claim to be natural even tho they bench 4plates for reps

i

if you wanna be 20-25 pounds heavier and lean, then yes ur gonna need some steroids
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck, is everything i've been told a lie? even my closest friends and training parterns are lying so hard it hurts my ears?

so I'm 6'/182cm and 190lbs/87kg

my training partner is from ukraine, started lifting at 13 years old (olympic lifting) and was in the national team by age 23 with a mind blowing 160kg clean and jerk at let's say 85kg bw. he's pretty short, i guess 175cm

he claims at this point the coach wanted to juice him up, he declined and was ejected from the team

he then took up natural bodybuilding for the next 20 years

he's 43 now and weighs in at 105kg, same bf as me or slightly higher perhaps

so to get to 100kg relatively lean at 182cm (220lbs 6') was told to be achievable by this guy and my coach NATURALLY

now i guess that's a pipe dream and a lie?

god DAMNIT!

he is either the most geneticaly gifted individual, or a big steroid user

i also highly doubt wat he competed in was natural becoz the natural mr olympias weigh in at about 87-92kgs on stage

u dont seriosuly beleiev u can reach 100kgs ripped naturaly do you?

its possible if you are one of the most geneticaly gifted persons in the world

but judgeing by ur pics id say u aint one of the most geneticaly giftd person in the world, and if you wanna be 100kgs ripped ur gonna need some steroids
not ripped, just a similar bodyfat as i have now (15% or so)

he competed in th uibbn or something, the second guy on the left here (230lbs is his normal weight, i dont know what he weighed here, maybe 210-215)

the link is acting funny so i attached it to my post

just want to know if you these guys are natural or not at all

he's the second one on the left

i was just concerned with it because in order to set a goal i need to know what is a realistic goal

yeah they said in the competition review that he had good size but wasn't very ripped

i guess bodybuilding can be frustrating if you compare yourself too much to others (who often lie to you about being natural)

thanks for the replies

stop worrying about what your friends do. this is not the sport to be jealous of others or want to be like them.. everyone's body is different, genetics are different.

I would say looking at your pics you look very good. you have low bf%, you are dedicated to the gym, i would bet you eat little or no junk food. you've got plenty of time ahead of you. the avg age of mr olympia is 34 years old. you've got 11 years before you even get to that age. take your time.

keep researching about roids and then decide if its the direction you want to go. nothing wrong with continueing to be natty and then once you get into your late 20's then diving in.. this is what i did and i've been hooked since..

There's no way of knowing if you've reached your genetic limit until you tap every possibility. That means training techniques and supplements -- those that work.

Secondly, you look pretty damn good bro. Better than a lot of guys who juice. So what exactly do you want? More mass? Sure, steroids will do that, but in order to keep it once the cycle is over (and recover your HPTA) you still need to train and supplement properly.

You may want to investigate other methods. You may like this. http://www.elitefitness.com/reports/truth/

also you aren't 15%. just judging by your height and weight and not even seeing your pic its hard to imagine you are 15%.. your pic you have a lot of muscle and veins so I would guess closer to 10%.. no way you are over 13%

you've got little fat on you

I'm a half foot shorter then you and weigh 185 and I am 14% bf.. so i cannot see how you are higher then that at 6 feet
