Yeah, I married into the LDS church as well and converted (mostly to keep the missionaries away).

But after many years of going to church, I find the family values are great. I temper the LDS church by bringing my little girl to other churches and by letting her know that no one is forcing her to make a decision about God or Jesus until she's willing to make it herself.

I married into a Mormon family. My wife and her brothers got out of the church as soon as they were out of the house but her parents are still avid members. It was pretty strange having to hear about some of the shit they do, garments and baptisms for the dead and stuff, but the more I thought about it, every religion has things that freak me out. I am not religious in any way at this point in my life by the way. Even the whole communion thing is pretty freaky when you sit back and think about it. Eating his flesh and drinking his blood? That doesn't seem strange to anyone else???? But as long as you are happy and don't push it on me, I could care less what religion you believe. I went to high school with a Jehovah and i know she wasn't really thrilled about the whole thing. She always felt like an outsider in our class.
