Please Scroll Down to See Forums Below Many people recommend runnning an AI during cycle. However No one ever mentions running an AI prior to PCT. I mean if you are running Cyp or Enth, 10-14 days after your last injection there will be enough test floating around yet I have never read about anyone running an AI during that time period. Can someone explain why that it is? It would seem that running an AI say during a 10 week cycle then abruptly stopping prior to PCT would increase the likely hood of some sort of estrogen rebound. Thoughts?

Actually I run my AI through cycle until I start PCT. Nolvadex will help with the Estrogen rebound when you drop the Arimidex.
I just started my cycle this past sunday (test/eq/var). I have both Arimidex and Aromasin. I'm starting adex at .25mg EOD up until PCT. Then I will be running Aromasin with Nolva for PCT. I have clomid as well, I might run Clomid at like 50mg for the first couple weeks in conjugation with Nolva and Aromasin. I just was curious as to why some people run an AI up until their last injection then go off til PCT. Any other suggestions/thoughts?

Actually Nolva causes e rebound.
Most guys run a low dose anti aromatase during the cycle, but continue to do so afterward when T drops and the ratio is out of whack. That's why it's so important to get natural T as high as possible as quickly as possible. In 99 times out of 100 Nolva isn't needed at all.

This is true nolva does not lower estrogen. It blocks it from receptors. And yes well using it free estrogen can be raised..
I think a using a ai after a cycle is a good idea but may not always be needed threw out the whole pct. Most cycles you wait 2 weeks before starting pct. Good idea to use a ai during this time...
I also like the idea of a pre pct faze.

Estrogen does a lot of positive things and you want it to run high thru the cycle but you need to keep it in line so you don't get gyno and other unwanted sides with an aromatise antagonist like clomid or nolva. Towards the end of your cycle is when the AI's come in handy as you want your estrogen back to normal and to reduce the negative feedback loops and get you HPTA back to normal asap... Depending on what you are taking depends on how long to take the AI's after your last shot. (Active life of the drugs is the key here) For some people(usually bigger guys that need more gear) clomid or nolva is not enough and need a slight boost with an AI in addition to the antagonist throughout the cycle.

Run the AI all the way up until the day you begin PCT.
yes nolva blocks estrogen from the receptor site only, but often nolva is enough for stopping gyno if taken during cycle. just have arimidex on hand just in case.

You should run your AI throughout the cycle and throughout the PCT. Nolva would not be the best choice. Since it only blocks estrogen in certain tissues, like needtogetaas posted, there is too much circulating estrogen unless you use an AI. Nolva is great for gyno but does nothing to protect you against high blood pressure, acne, prostate, etc. You need an AI any time you use Test.
