Q - Anybody here ever see a Chiropracter while on a cycle?

I really fucked my neck up training back a few years ago. I literally could not move my neck until I saw a chiropracter and then I was 100% again. His office was in the gym I managed so he worked on me for free--EVERY other chiropracter (17 that I can remember) made my problem worse than when I went in--the only way I would see one if I were you is if you had a referral from a good friend

Eh bro, ya I was referred by someone who was treated by him as well. He says I have a lot of tension in my neck as well, and after fixing my lowerback problem asked if I wanted to go ahead with some neck adjustments. Seems pretty freakin scary to me though ... dont like the thought of my neck being cracked. The sound my back makes when being adjusted is creepy enough.

i have been under chiropractic care for 12 years- I go once a week, and will go for the rest of my life. I was in a motorcycle accident and chiro is a necessity for me. My last girlfriend was a chiro, and unlimited free adjustments did wonders for me. My x-rays today compared to 3 years ago are like night and day, my spine continues to improve. Anyone and everyone can benefit from chiro.

Once a week? damn, marry the girl! You will save much $$$...

My insurence covered 12 visits, after that, it would cost me $20 - $30 per visit. :(

as important as the spinal column is to your overall health I am surprised athletes are not more proactive in this area. you can have problems developing before you even notice symptoms, its kind of like getting your teeth checked IMHO. i believe most pro teams usually have a team chiro

caveat: I am a full-time student at a chiro college

Your spine controls bodily functions- if you have a subluxation ( basically nerve interference) it can affect pretty much everything from movement to digestion, headaches, the list is endless. Nerve blockage is like a tree that has fallen on a power line- Your body cannot get proper nerve impulses- a good chiro can find and remove the blockage.

I worked for a chiropractor, and I can tell you it works. Do you get neuromuscle stimulation and ultrasound?

Yes I have gotten them all. Thanks for the great info guys! The more I start reading up, the more i am starting to buy into this Chiro thing. The doc tells me that 90% of clients do it for wellness and prevention, not to treat pain. This may be something that I am going to look into long term, especially with the heavy lifting I like to do.

Its just weird how Chiros, are not so accepted by the medical community. They are grouped in with Physio, and massage more it seems. I think its basically becuase the medical community dosent know much about it. Its weird ... if I went to a doc about my lower back pain, he would have gave me some advil and sent me home! lol.

One of the coolest things that the Chiro was tellilng me how he adjusts his neck when he feels a cold or congestion coming on. Supposedly there is so much tension built up in the neck when you are getting sick, and freeing this up puts a major boost into the immune system. There is an older doctor there who has not been sick in 7 years. Very interesting.

Eh guys, got a question for you guys, has anyone here ever been treated by a Chiropracter while on a cycle? My question is, will the added weight, and muscle-growth cause any problems while I am getting adjusted over the course of a month?

I'm ARMY and I've been having adjustment for years now. Your muscle growth has no bearing on the adjustments the chiropractor is making on your spine. He's been trained to manipulate your spine in spite of muscle, tissue.....whatever. You can only prosper from having adjustments done, as heavy lifting throws off your spines natural alignment more so than the average person.

Don't stress, bro.
