Pyramiding geared for strength?

Ya know I've been trying to remember my good old days of pyramiding in high school and probably should have posted my questions in here first. Sorry Mods..

Anywhoo, is it correct to say pyramiding (up) is geared more torward strength?

I've been trying to remember all the core workouts for it and ratios. Anywhoo, if you train pyramiding style or have been or know something about it feel free to add your $0.02 here.

And food for thought, what type of training is best for strength?

The best training for strength is kind of a matter of what youll respond best to...
Look into Westside, Metal Militia, Joe Average...
Pyramiding is more for bodybuilding. Strength training is in the lower rep range and deals with building tendon, fast twitch fibers and CNS strength, not size.

Pyramiding up through a range of reps isnt needed to strictly build strength.
 
Curious, when you say Metal Militia, do you meam Metal Mulisha, I noticed that somewhere else on the site. Metal Mulisha is a mx freestyle bad ass team etc... just curious.
