Protein Powder Is A Waste ?

There's something to be said for sticking only to REAL FOOD.

My training partner has a friend who is 5'6, 330 lbs with visible abs. Trust me, I've seen pictures. This guy raises his own steers and slaughters them for their meat. He gets fresh fruits and vegetables from his neighbor's gardens. He is adamant in his opposition to frozen foods, or things that have been "contaminated" with all sorts of preservatives. He doesn't eat anything with the words "low fat" or "substitute" on them.

Something to think about.

One trick is to go to the grocery store and buy only the food that is around the outside walls. That's where the fresh stuff is. The stuff in the middle is all that canned junk.

this argument isnt going anywhere.

1) you can grow nicely without powders if you're diet is right on.
2) you can maximize growth by consuming the right powders at the right time.

example:

right when waking up in the morning... you cant tell me that a meal will get broken down as fast as a shake. and after all, we need amino acids immediately upon awaking.

same principle applies for post workouts.

This can go both ways...my business is 100 ft from my home i keep a timer handy to go off every 2 hrs...its convient to post a note saying back in 5 min......then it gulping down a myloplex delux plus replacement meal shake 280 cal mixed with Eas Simply protein and you have almost 50 grams of protein of course this is in conjunction to my 4 other meals thrU out the day .a total of 3 SHAKES
PLUS 4 servings of real food.

A calorie is a calorie. It doesnt matter if it is from a Protein Shake or a steak.

If I blended a hotdog and added water I would still be eating the hotdog. It would just digest faster, probably more throughly.

Arnold never promoted any protein powder.

Yes he did, in Europe, I remember bying a few tubs of it back in the day. I agree with the whole powder thing, its not worth the hassle. I like the isopure clear whey drink right after working out and thats it.

THATS RIGHT A CALORIE IS A CALORIE NO MATTER WHAT FORM THEY ARE IN SLOID OR LIQUID. THINK ABOUT IT JUST BECAUSE A SOLID MEAL DIGEST SLOWER IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOUR BODY GAINS MORE WEIGHT. THAT IS STUPID THINKING.
